Completed cooling tune up, system had a couple leaks, one on the compressor, (covered in oil) & the other was inside the evaporator coil. Didn’t recommend charging it up due to eventually leaking out again & also informed him there were no guarantees how long it would last. He said to just go ahead & charge it & get some estimates sent to him to see what his options were. Added 2lbs of 410a. Will get with Toby to work on them. Other than that everything checked out good to go with no other issues to report. Placed yard sign. Already had comfort survey filled.
Furnace had a blown low voltage fuse, placed popper in place of fuse & tested heating & heating worked just fine. Set thermostat to cooling & popper popped due to a burned coil on condenser contactor. Emailed 2 estimates, 1 for contactor & fuse replacement & another including contactor, fuse, & capacitor for blower motor. No other issues to report. No yard sign or comfort survey filled due to homeowners not being here.
1- TRANE 4 TON 16 SEER 2 SPLIT SYSTEM WITH 2-STAGE GAS HEATING; PRO1 PROGRAMMABLE THERMOSTAT AND COMPLETE NEW DUCT SYSTEM( DOES INCLUDE NEW SUPPLY GRILLS BUT WILL USE SUPPLY REGISTER BOXES). JOB WILL INCLUDE REMOVING OF 3 SECTIONS OF CEILING IN ORDER TO REMOVE & INSTALL NEW DUCT SYSTEM.DUE TO PITCH OF ROOF.

Compressor is shorted to ground & needs to be replaced. Compressor was replaced & charged system up with 410a. System is cooling properly again. Used a 40/5 capacitor as it was a different rated compressor from the original. No other issues to report. Will bill out.

Thermostat was bad, reading 10 degrees different from actual temperature. Replaced with WiFi thermostat & walked Noe through programming & how to operate from phone. No issues to report.

Rollout switch was open due to cracked heat exchangers. Closed off gas to furnace & mentioned the system needs to be replaced. System age is 20 years old. Toby will get estimate built for replacement. No other issues to report.
Estimate for duct cleaning Duct cleaning completed. Noticed mold starting to grow on blower housing. 4 ton system only has enough return (20x20x1) for 2.3 tons of air. Mentioned we could get an estimate for a new return plenum, duct run, return grill to add more return. Once it’s worked up we would email it over. No other issues to report.
