Excellent service

Our AC quit working bc of some work done by our contractors workers. We weren’t sure what was going on with it. I called at 2:18 and scheduled an appointment for 4-6 for same day service. The tech called me at 2:43 to see if we were available for him to come head to our house. They figured out that it was a fuse that was blown and it was about 30 minutes and they had our AC working. Both technicians were nice and knowledgeable. We will definitely call them in the future for any service needs!

Condensate pump & thermostat were bad. Changed out condensate pump & tried another head from another thermostat & unit began cooling, mentioned we had some on our van but once he saw the price he wanted to just replace it himself. Unit is cooling again. No other issues to report.

Wire was burnt up on the herm side of the capacitor. Checked the capacitor to make sure it was still good & it was. Stripped the wire back & reconnected it to the capacitor & the unit began cooling again. No other issues to report.

Cleaned coil and made sure pressures were good. Delta t is good and house is cooling. Other than that good to go

The indoor coil is severely stopped up. Recommended pulling coil out to clean and also condenser has bad capacitor which I also recommended replacing. Other than that no other issues

Blower motor is bad, checked the capacitor on the motor & it was still within the 10% mark. Didn’t recommend doing repairs on the unit because of the age but they would rather see if the blower motor will fix it but also mentioned there could be other issues underlying besides just the motor. Will send an estimate for blower motor replacement, no other issues to report.

Checked pressures & evaporator coil & everything looked good. Noticed the filter was really dirty & causing the pressures to look lower than normal. Replaced filter & everything looked good to go. Signed up for monthly membership. No other issues to report.

Cleaned out vent & patted down insulation around the fresh air vents inside the closet in the garage. No other issues to report.

Completed cooling tune up, noticed they didn’t have enough return for their system, (20x20x1) return grill on a 3.5 ton split system, recommended adding another return & also a blower wheel cleaning due to mold growth in blower housing, besides that everything checked out good to go. No other issues to report.

Upon arrival the high pressure switch was tripping the 24v. Bypassed and got unit running. Pressures are off and recommended adding refrigerant. Customer did not want it and instead rinsed coil off himself because his uncle gave him that’s what it needed.

Breaker did not trip while working on the unit even after turning it off and on. As for the house not cooling I checked my temperature probe and it was 57 coming out the grills. Still checked everything and pressures were a bit off given that the filter is dirty. Customer will change tomorrow. Tested the thermostat and noticed it stayed at 76 for a bit but eventually it did go down. Other than that good to go

During my recent visit, I discovered that the breaker had tripped upon arrival. I reset it, and everything was functioning properly without any issues. However, after a thorough inspection, I identified that both capacitors were faulty, and there was some loose wiring which may have contributed to the breaker trip. Additionally, the breaker itself was loose, potentially causing further concerns. I replaced the capacitors and ensured all connections were tightly secured.

Condenser is fenced off & when I checked pressures they were higher than normal for R-22. Washed the condenser off & let the unit dry off then checked pressures again, they came down a but mentioned that fence to the condenser needs to be open because it’s not getting enough airflow. Closed it & showed him the pressures started climbing again. Had a good temperature difference inside the home with the temperature probes. Signed up for membership as well. No other issues to report.

Pressures seemed normal besides the subcooling, it was higher than normal as if the system was overcharged. Went ahead & washed off the unit & checked pressures again after the condenser dried off & the subcooling came down to where it needed to be according to the chart. Amp draw & filter were both good, it is cooling right now without any signs of freezing in the near future. No issues to report.

Completed maintenance on two units. Both are cooling and no repairs were needed. Both units were really dirty but I rinsed them and they are good now. As for the third unit. Wires were burnt on the compressor and other components were burnt as well. Given that it’s 24 years old and r-22 refrigerant it would need replacement.
