Performed a service call visit to a rental property in Philadelphia, PA 19121 to evaluate a heating system issue reported by the tenant after the furnace stopped working. A prior technician had noted that something was caught inside the unit and that the motor and a white cord appeared damaged. Upon inspection, we confirmed that the return air filter had been pulled directly into the blower compartment, causing significant internal damage to multiple components. We provided the homeowner with a detailed proposal outlining a full system rebuild, including a complete blower assembly replacement, a deep heat exchanger cleaning due to heavy debris intake, a new inducer motor safety limit switch, and a full condensate trap assembly replacement to restore proper drainage. All necessary parts have been ordered, and we will return to perform the repairs and ensure the furnace is fully restored to safe and reliable operation.
