Courteous: he called to inform that he was delayed. Very thorough inspection of heat pump; not rushed. Good communicator: explained how to optimize heat pump use. The first service person to (a) test that the condensation drain pipe was properly sloped; (b) notice uneven settling of compressor and immediately solve the problem.

During an annual maintenance inspection found a Doohickey that wasn't doing its job, resulting in us not getting enough 'emergency heat' during cold spells from our heat pump. Diagnosed the problem, got the part, fixed it and adjusted out thermostat. Al good.
