We had 10 Shwinco 9000 Impact windows installed today (05/11/22) by Folkers and we could not be happier with the service, product, and company. Our salesperson Scott was "spot on" with the order and spent plenty of time with us discussing windows, options, and pricing. Forrest, the measurement tech, absolutely nailed every dimension as each window fit perfectly during the install. Anisha and Ashley in the front office provided timely updates and information regarding the manufacturing, shipping, delivery, installation, and final inspection. The install crew today was a highly competent "Tiger Team" to include Aaron, Jay, and Brandon and it would take several pages to describe how they prioritized, removed the old, installed the new, took care of the flooring, and cleaned inside and out in real-time. Plus... They are all awesome human beings and were pleasant, personable, and felt like guests while also performing as professionals. The windows that Folkers replaced were from 1983, aluminum, inefficient, and we could literally feel the radiant heat from the sun. While the glass packs were replaced by previous owners, the windows really needed to go. Folkers installed the Low E/Argon vinyl Shwincos and they too would require pages to describe but they are robust, impact and blast resistant, and "turtle glass." We were told that they would make the house cooler and quieter and Folkers' comments are 100% true. We realized it immediately as typical external sounds (HVAC compressor, traffic, etc.) were no longer audible. I also used a thermal sensor to compare old values to new values as well as the other "scientific method" of simply touching the glass and frame (grin) and the results are very real. On Folkers' website, they make 3 succinct points as not being the fastest, not the cheapest, but are the best and based on our experience, the wait is certainly worth it, the cost is reasonable (you get what you pay for), and without reservation, they are the best. If you desire superior service and high quality windows, just give them a call.
