The drain pipe of our bathroom sink started to leak so I called Leaside Plumbing. Claudio came on Monday the day that I called and spent about 20 minutes discussing this and some other plumbing issues. We decided to just have the bathroom sink fixed and the drain clicker in the shower replaced. We agreed to have the work done the following Thursday. The drain clicker in the bathroom sink ended up getting replaced as well, and the drain was snaked. I only saw Claudio on the Monday and he was very personable and I am happy with the work. The bill for the work with tax came to $1,196.31, which I think was excessive! I was charged $660 for 3.75 hours of labour and $148.00 for the service call. Living in Leaside, I thought it would be beneficial to use a local service. I believe that they charge $148 whether you are a 2 minute drive in Leaside for them or you are out in Mississauga. If the $148 partially subsidized the work done, the bill did not show it. I was charged a $50 ‘drain snake surcharge’. This does not make any sense to me, that on top of paying at least $176/hour labour, I have to pay extra for them to use one of a plumbers basic tools. I received 2 emails from Leaside Plumbing asking if I would review on-line the service that they provided. I emailed them that they might not want me to do this, and I gave them my issues. This was 2 weeks ago and I never received a response, so I have as requested by Leaside Plumbing reviewed them on-line.

Value has such a huge difference in meaning for many people in various situations. It seems that you are not satisfied with the value that we delivered for your money. If you have any ideas on how we can improve this value factor for you, we would be open to any suggestions. Our prices are set based on many factors, we believe that you get what you pay for. I understand that we are not a perfect match for every budget, and it would destroy any business if they tried to lower their prices to keep everyone happy, this just isn't possible or practical. Our goal is to still be here for many years to come so you always have someone reliable that you can depend on.
