AC Service

I have no concerns with the service itself. My concern is with the scheduling providing me a 12 hour window. This to me implies that you consider your service time more valuable than mine. If this can not be rectified I will be forced to cancel my service contract.

Professional appearance

Very professional approach with booking confirmation, heads up reminder, on time arrival, cleanliness and technician's knowledge of the issue we were experiencing. However, we were able to source and replace three toilets for much less than quoted by Clearview (~$1,800 vs. $4,140). We did not need higher grade toilets for the rental unit Clearview was suggesting.

Plumbing....Service

Incredible same day service.. Our plumbing problem was unsolvable to two or three other plumbers, however, Yamil clearly explained our options and gave us the dollar amount.. Jamil was friendly and very knowledgeable about what steps had to be taken to solve our problem. I would definitely want Yamil to be our to go to guy for any future plumbing problems. Thank you Yamil.

Today I came to Amit’s Okotoks home because the hot water tank stopped working last night. Upon visual inspection I found the tank has burst and is leaking onto the floor. The tank must be replaced. Amit has a good water softener in place. Amit can not get a hold of his wife for a discussion on what to do. Once he speaks with her, he will call us back with a decision.

Client called about the furnace not heating tech went out. Furnace fired up with out issues after several min of the system running there was no error codes. Tech informed client a diagnostic would have to be performed to determine why the system has been intermittent. Client approved, tech found the the flame sensor is failing and not always giving a strong enough signal. Tevh also found the blower motor shaft was slightly bent causing a wobble in the fan and the grease pack has popped and drained out, the inducer motor is over its amperage limit. Both ,toros are functional for now but eventually will fail. Tevh informed client and quoted work client went with flame sensor for now. Tech replaced the sensor and tested the system. Furnace fired up with out issues and sensor is proving a much stronger signal. Client is happy

I attended a call-back for Marc in the Okotoks area, upon inspection of the furnace I noticed the gas valve was left in the “off” position from previous planned maintenance. Tested furnace and cycled several times, everything functions great. I did notice the gasket to the collector box directly behind the inducer motor is beginning to wear down and leak condensate. Customer was in a hurry the leave the house as he is preparing for vacation but will be considering it when he returns.

Client called to have furnace serviced. Tech went out furnace manufacturing date says it from 1987. Carrier crusader furnace. Ducts are dirty and furnace filter should be changed out. Tech tested the heating system: checked gas pressure, temperature, exhaust fan amperage test, blower motor amperage test, flame rectification sensor test, exhaust fan vacuum test, ignition system tests, pull and inspected blower motor assembly and their capacitors. Inspected both heat exchangers for any deficiencies. Tevh found the igniter and flame sensor are wearing out as well as the burner assembly is getting dirty and should be clean. Tevh informed client that the system is operational at this time however the furnace igniter and flame sensor should be replaced. Client thanked us for coming out.

Client called about no heat, tech went out found the gas valve had fail. Client already replace both motors recently as well. Tevh suspects there is a issue with the control board as well. Tech made a few options. Client went with new gas valve and control board. Tech removed old gas valve and old control board installed new ones. Tested system. It fired up without issues. When tech was removing the control board tech found the original fuse was blown and someone had warped a small wire between the 2 prongs to bypass it. Tevh believes this was the key factor to why all the components in the furnace started to fail. From the system getting too much power. Tevh informed client and showed them the fuse. System is operational at this time tech adjusted gas pressure to manufacturing specifications. Tested for gas leaks no leaks found. 1 year warranty on gas valve and control board.

Today I came to Roberts Okotoks home because the furnace stopped working 2 days ago. Upon first inspection I turned up the heat on the thermostat and the system started to run. I tested temperature and found the system running too hot. Because the system is working, we decided to to a furnace tune up. Upon tune up and inspection I tested and adjusted gas valve, burners, gas pressure and temperature rise. Pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Tested ignition system, inducing motor and assembly, blower motor and assembly, heat exchanger, humidifier, static pressures, all safety switches and control board. Furnace is in fair to poor condition. The gas valve, safety switches, control board, flame sensor and spark igniter are are working well within manufacturers specifications. The inducing / exhaust fan is over amperage and has bearing ware. This indicates impending failure. The blower motor has over heated at least once and has broke its liquified grease pack. This is like a car driving

Tech came out to perform heating maintenance inspection. The furnace second floor furnace is new we installed it November 21 2021. Main floor furnace is 7 years old single stage Goodman. No current issues on either furnace, the client replaced the filters every 1-3 months. The ducts were cleaned December 20 2021, Tech tested both main floor and second floor heating systems: checked gas pressure, temperature, exhaust fan amperage test, blower motor amperage test, flame rectification sensor test, exhaust fan vacuum test and a combustion analysis. Furnaces is in great working order.

Today I came to Brant’s Okotoks home to perform the annual furnace service and inspection. The ac system was installed by Clearview last year. Upon inspection and service I tested and adjusted gas valve, burners, gas pressure and temperature rise. Pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Tested ignition system, inducing motor and assembly, blower motor and assembly, heat exchanger, humidifier, static pressures, all safety switches and control board. Furnace is in poor-fair condition. The 20 year old furnace is showing signs of aging and ware. The flame sensor and igniter were replaced 2 years ago and remain in good working condition. As stated last year, the inducing / exhaust fan is far over amperage. This indicates impending failure. The blower motor has over heated at least once and has spilled it lubricants. This is like running your car with no oil and will cause failure. The exhaust and heat exchanger are leaking condensation (not good). The heat exchanger shows signs of advanced a
