Today I came to Max’s Varsity home because the furnace stopped working. Max has explained that the furnace started acting up a few weeks ago. Another technician (not from Clearview) came and replaced the thermostat but the problem remained and the furnace was working intermittently. Upon inspection I found the furnace could use a tune up. Furnace tune up: Upon tune up and inspection of the 20 year old system I tested and adjusted the gas valve, burners, gas pressure and temperature rise. Pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Tested ignition system, inducing motor and assembly, blower motor and assembly, heat exchanger, static pressures, tested and tightened all electrical connections, all safety switches and control board. For a furnace of this age it is in surprisingly good condition. All components are working well within manufacturers specifications. The flame sensor was the cause of the issue and after cleaning it is working well. I recommend the restrictive filters be replaced m
