Today I came to Mike and Illana’s Mt Pleasant home because the fan coil unit was over heating the house again. Illana and Mike tried to reset the system and the thermostat with no success. Initially we believed the wireless thermostat was the problem and I can with a replacement today. Upon further inspection however, I found the tech that installed the boiler had the wiring for the fan coil pump wired incorrectly. The installed had thought that the garage heating loop was not connected and not working when in reality it was. When the weather got cold, the garage loop would come on but only to 7 degrees as it was set on the thermostat in the garage. The problem with this is that the fan coil pump was wired to run 24 hours a day. This means that when the garage zone would come on, the fan coil pump would also be running. This would heat the fan coil up and trigger the fan coil to start causing over heating of the home. I have rewired the system and the thermostat. The fan coil pump is n
