We recently contracted to have our A/C replaced. The estimator and back office dropped the ball and this caused the installation to be delayed for a day in the middle of a heat wave. Then, when the installers got here we learned the estimator sent the wrong voltage equipment and the new equipment wouldn’t have the lifetime warranty we were sold on. That was very disappointing. However, the installers themselves (Scott and jermaine) were incredible. They ended up staying until 11:30 pm to try to get job finished. Tremendous work ethic and professional. With a little more attention to detail on the back office/estimator side, this would have been a rave….

Cleaned and serviced oil boiler. Replaced the filter, strainer and nozzle. Took a combustion test and brushed and vacuumed the heat exchanger. Ignition transformer is a little weak and the electrodes are very burnt up. Boiler is older, from 1991. The customer is looking to get by and get another year out of it.
PARTS ARE SPECIAL ORDER AND HAVE A LEAD TIME OF 7-10 BUSINESS DAYS TO ARRIVE ONCE ORDER IS PLACED Danny B and Brandon, replaced heat exchanger on package Unit, tested, system operational, Heat Exchanger has oils that need to burn off which when operated will give a burning smell inside of restaurant, turned on unit temporary to get most of the oils burnt out, explained to customer it will take awhile to burn off, system operational. Recommend replacing inducer motor due to wear and tear on motor and propeller wheel.
Service for leaking well tank: arrived to meet customer who brought me down to minor leak on well tank tee. Found that tank was from 1998. Found that the relief valve had I minor leak. Explained to customer how tank was old an I would recommend replacement. Also went over upgraded constant pressure System and also adding water treatment to home. Gave customer all estimate and customer is going to talk it over with wife and do research. Customer will call in to schedule work.
Clean and service Oil with MA
Folkes arrived on 10/05/2021 for leak from the roof. Upon arrival I climbed on the roof and noticed that there was a pool of water near the drain, I pulled the screen out and it was clogged. The water went down. I recommended to the customer to clean around the screen with water so it doesnâ€™t get clogged again, I then thanked the customer for choosing folkes and left.
Customers thermostats just blowing cold air, restaurant has wireless thermostats, power was off to unit due to customer shutting it off because of cold air blowing, reconfigured wire less zone panel and system came on for AC and heat, when putting the covers back on package unit noticed flame rushing out of unit past burners, shut gas valve off to unit and thermostat so heat wonâ€™t come on, unit has a cracked heat exchanger and customer cannot use the heat for the restaurant. Also thermostat in finding room is broken, customer ordered a new one and once we give them pricing and availability to replace heat exchanger we will set up wire less thermostat in finding room as well. Have to bill customer owner wasnâ€™t present.
C/S Oil Furnace. Replaced filter strainer and nozzle. Brushed and cleaned exhaust pipe. Tested blower motor, replaced air filter. Tested all burner components. Took combustion reading and posted results on service tag. Customer stated she noticed squeaking at motor upon furnace start ups last year. Started unit over 10 times and did not hear anything unusual coming from motor or belt. Inspected belt for motor and did not find any cracks or breaks, lubricated belt and bearings. Customer would like estimate to replace belt. Filled out follow up form. Unit running normally.
Installed boiler drain valves and shut off valves on domestic hot water coil on boiler, completed acid flush, checked water pressure at bathroom sink and kitchen sink, pressures were good, tested hot water, hot water working just fine, system operational.
Folkes arrived on 09/17/2021 for a back up by the washer. Upon arrival I noticed that there was water on floor but it was a little less then last time. I also noticed that the one drain was open, there used to be a sink and no one capped off the old drain. I capped the drain off and put a brick under the pipe to get the right pitch. I then ran water from the washing machine hose for approximately 5 mins, there was no back up at this time. I didnâ€™t not run the washer due to it being $2 to use it. The washer may have high volume when it drains and the old pipe might not be able to drain fast enough. There is a running trap to far away from the washer. I recommended repiping a new line from the washer to the main drain if the problem happens again. I then thanked the customer for choosing folks and left.
Unit was not staying on when attempted to fire it up. Took apart burner assembly. Burner assembly was in very poor shape. Cleaned burner assembly and replaced burner nozzle. System cycled three times while testing heating. Boiler hot water coil is completely plugged. Must return to perform acid flush on hot water coil on boiler.
This to snake the main sewer line from the basement Folkes arrived on 09/14/2021 for a backed up line. Upon arrival I camera the line from below the kitchen and got approximately 75ft. I then went to the basement under the apartments and realized the water was overflowing from a standpipe by the washer. I then removed the clean out and set the main line snake down approximately 30ft and cleared the blockage. I ran water for approximately 20mins and everything was flowing. I then thanked the customer for choosing folks and left.
Purge hydro coil wire zone valve at air handler and start up heat
This is to replace the kitchen sink with a customer supplied faucet Folkes arrived on 09/09/2021 to install a customer supplied faucet. Upon arrival I started by turning into the water off to the old faucet. I then removed the old faucet. I then installed the new faucet and replaced the supply lines. I then turned the water back on and checked for leaks, there are no leaks at this time. The customer is satisfied with the work that was performed. I thanked the customer for choosing folks and left.
Arrived and the customer stated she had 20 inches of water in the basement due to the storm. The water got to the bottom of the burner and also the boiler. The underneath of the boiler is severely rusted and breaking apart. The boiler will need to be replaced. The burner is shorted out and the inside of the chamber is soaked and falling apart. The system is not operational at this time. The customer will be speaking with the insurance company about replacement.
Folks arrived on 08/24/2021 for a leaking kitchen sink and leaking bathroom sink. Upon arrival the kitchen sink was leaking by the handle when it was turned on. I let the customer know that the cartridge could be changed but it isnâ€™t a guaranteed fix. Custer is going to get a new kitchen faucet and we will come back to install. I also looked at the bathroom faucet and there is a slow drip. I said the same thing. Customer is going to hold off for now and replace the bathroom faucet in the future. Customer will call us back when she buys the new faucet. I then thanked the customer for choosing folks and left.
