After arriving to the property and reaching out to the homeowner via cell phone he made me aware that the ground to the right of the property is constantly wet and he believed that he had an irrigation leak so he contracted a landscaping company to come out and repair the irrigation system, upon the homeowners return home the irrigation company had exposed a portion of two of his lateral lines for his drainfield coming from the septic system, the contractor had attempted to make a repair, and pulled off of the job due to a “ Family emergency” that is going to make him unavailable for the foreseeable future, I have instructed to the homeowner but at this time he should reach out to the department of environmental health so they may assess the situation and instruct him on how to move forward with making repairs

I arrived today to take a look at a gas water heater we have previously installed. The homeowner had a tenant move in and made aware that there was no hot water. The tenant did let me know that the gas was just turned on, and all other gas appliances were working. The water heater is located in the garage and was not on when I arrived. We began by checking the gas meter, which was in service. I attempted to relight the heater, and I was able to get the unit lit and I turned the gas valve to the hot position. Over the next 30 minutes I observed the heater which was heating just fine. I have attempted to call the homeowner, but I am unable to get ahold of them. At this time, water is heating, however Gas Rheem Water Heaters have a tendency to have faulty gas valves. There is a chance that further diagnosis is needed, however I am unable to get confirmation on performing diagnostic service to either confirm nor deny if anything further is needed for the water heater. I do believe that sin

After arriving to the home, the homeowner made me aware of an issue he was experiencing. 6 months ago, he had a third story attic area finished, and he added a full bathroom in that area. Since that was completed, the homeowner has had issues getting hot water to that bathroom group. He said the renovation was permitted and inspected, and that it passed. A licensed company and contractor completed the work. We began in that new bathroom and tested the fixtures. I started off by running the sink and shower, which I was able to get hot water. When I reattempted to do the same thing, the hot water did not come. The home is equipped with a Rinnai RL75 natural gas unit, located in the crawlspace. I confirmed that the Rinnai functioned on the second and first floor. I checked the pressure on the home, which registered higher than 100 psi, which is extremely dangerous to residential fixtures and systems. One can experience leaks, fixtures failing, and other issues with plumbing integrity. My

Upon arrival customer explained that there was mold on wall of closet behind water heater. We looked in closet and found that everything is dry but has lots of growth. The customer will have restoration company in to remove the sheetrock. Customer also made me aware that she was having issues with two shower valves. After investigating, we found that the one in the guest bathroom upstairs would convert to shower and would not get cold. The tub/shower in Jack and Jill bathroom would not convert to shower. I gave customer 3 options and she stated that she will probably go with option 3 and is going to wait until sheetrock is removed and if any plumbing repair is needed have it all done at one time.

Arrived today to perform a plumbing safety check and to flush the water heater. I made the homeowners aware of what I would be doing today, and began by flushing the water heater located in the attic. Jeremy replaced the water heater in the attic earlier this year, we decided to flush the heater to go ahead and get an annual schedule going for tanked flushing. I ran a hose from the water heater to the bathroom underneath. I flushed the water for 15-20 minutes, and ran some water through it after it drained down. No signs of sediment were present, which is good since it’s been less than a year. After flushing the water heater, I filled the heater up, and relit the pilot light. Everything was functioning properly after the flush. I began the safety check and checked everything plumbing related through the home, except the master bathroom since I did not have access to it during this time. However the homeowner reassured me that no immediate issues existed in there during this time. I che

On today’s visit the customer made me aware that the kitchen sink faucet was not functioning at all and so I investigated the power module below the sink because it is a touch style faucet and found that the low battery light was blinking and would cause the unit not to function at all. I change the batteries six AA for the customer as a courtesy and have restored water to the kitchen sink and of course now everything is functioning properly. I also show the customer how to change the batteries Nick pleasants Cary,nc

We were called out to give a quote for servicing a clogged gutter/drain on the roof of a commercial building. After looking over the area, we found that there are twelve drains on the roof, and only 2 or 3 seemed to be flowing properly… many of the drains are completely impacted with dirt, and actually have plants growing out of them. After assessing everything the scope of the project, we ultimately determined that this was simply too large a job for us, and we won’t be able to give a quote or perform this work.

On today’s visit I performed a 65 point whole home inspection and we did not flush the heater due to the fact it was installed approximately two months ago by home warranty company. All items in the home are in good working condition. The customer did like the toilet we installed on our visit in November and requested an estimate to install two more customer supply toilets. He will let us know when he wants to do that but we’re more than likely be close to his membership expiration so that he can also renew that. Thank you,Leny leggard Nick pleasants Cary,nc
