Today I came to Darrin’s Dicovery Valley home because the water pressure in the home is too low. Last week Clearview installed a water pressure reducing valve. After the installation the valve was set way too low and the pressure out of the faucets and showers was very minimal. It was so low that a toilet upstairs would not fill. I set the prv to approximately 70 psi and showed Darrin how to adjust it further should he choose. Darren also mentioned that the price for the pressure reducing valve was quite high. Upon inspection I found that the task used for the pressure reducing valve was a 1” valve and allowed for soldering. In this case the line coming into the home is 1” but transitions to 3/4” at the pressure reducing valve and is done in pex piping rather than copper. This means the price should have been $689.63 and not $1147.00. A refund of $480.90 will be proceed back to Darrin.
