Today I met with Oleg at 2235 30 Avenue Northeast to evaluate the furnace and air conditioning system for replacement. Upon inspection I can see the furnace is 40+ years old. I did not have access to the roof but Oleg had a picture of the name plate for the existing r22 ac system. To replace the low efficiency furnace with a high efficiency system, the new furnace venting will run through the existing chimney. In order to do this, the water heater must be replaced with a power vented tank so both units can be vented with pvc piping through the existing chimney. If Oleg does not want to replace the water heater he can hire a roofer to create a new penetration for the furnace venting on the flat roof. The roofer will be responsible for making access and ensure there is a water tight seal around the new vent on the roof. Also, because the ac condensing unit is on the roof, a crane will be required to remove the old equipment and hoist the new equipment onto the roof. Clearview will arrang
