Today I came to Marc’s Cranston home becuase his 11 year old boiler stopped working. Marc has explained that he has never had an issue with the system before however everyone else on the block has already had to replace their similar system. Upon inspection of the unit I found it was giving error code e12 indicating ignition failure. I reset the system and found it fired right up but makes a loud noise. After some time the systems started to sputter out and ignition had to continue over and over. This can be attributed to a failing ignition and flame rectification system. Upon further inspection of the system I found the heat exchanger is leaking causing the interior components of the system to rust. Because the condition of the system I recommend replacement. Marc will be discussing the options with his wife when she is available.
