Today I came to Brenan’s Fairview home to perform a furnace tune up before winter. 3 years ago Clearview replaced the heat exchanger, flame sensor, and igniter. I can also see that some time in the past the gas valve and control board have been replaced. Furnace tune up: Upon tune up and inspection of the 30 year old system I tested and adjusted the gas valve, burners, gas pressure and temperature rise. Pulled and cleaned the flame sensor. Tested ignition system, inducing motor and assembly, blower motor and assembly, heat exchanger, static pressures, tested and tightened all electrical connections, all safety switches and control board. The furnace is in fair condition. The inducing / exhaust motor is vastly over amperage and over heating with bearing ware. This indicates impending failure. The blower motor has a hard time starting. This is caused by burst internal liquified grease packs that have leaked out of the motor. This will cause failure. The remainder of the furnace compon
