Today I came to Louise’s Bowness home becuase the thermostat has been acting oddly. Louise has explained that the thermostat has been changing temperatures all by itself. Upon inspection I found the thermostat has a pre programmed temperature setting. At 5 am and 10 pm, the thermostat will change the temperature. Louise has stated that that is around when she was noticing changes in temperature. I removed the programming as much as possible and now there is only 1 program that runs the furnace at 20 degrees starting at 5am. Louise can change the temperature to anything she wants and it will revert back to 20 degrees at 5 am. Louise also mentioned that when the furnace was not heating, it still sounded like it was running. This is becuase the fan function on the thermostat was set to “on” instead of “auto”. With fan function on, the furnace fan will run 24 hours a day. I have set it to “auto” meaning the furnace fan will only come on when the heat is required. I tested the thermostat an
