Today I came to Sandy’s Chestermere home to evaluate her aged boiler system. Sandy has explained that the system has not been able to heat the vacant home. A friend came and looked at it and told sandy to shut the system off. The system is currently leaking onto the floor and into the drain. Upon inspection I found the system to be in poor condition. There are multiple copper pipe leaks, multiple auto air vent leaks and a large leaking black iron connection. The system controls have failed and are not controlling the system pump which in turn causes the home not to heat. There are 9 zones in total. 7 that serve the home, 1 that serves tghe garage and one that serves the suite above the garage. Currently the home is vacant. Sandy is usure if they are selling or moving back in. This decision will have to be made before a decision on a boiler can be made.
