Client called for a quote to install either new power direct vented hot water heater or a new endless hot water heating system. Tech went out to client Okotoks home. Client is not getting as much hot water as he normally get tank is about 9 years old. Venting is up to code however the gas line is too small to support a tankless system in the home without running a new line. No water softener in the home, tech explained that tankless systems need a bit more maintenance then tanks due too Alberta’s hard water. Client understands Tech made a few options either new power direct vented tank average life span is 8-10 years and or we could install a tankless endless hot water system and run a new gas line from the meter. Tech also quoted water treatment systems to keep the tankless system running even smoother so it will have a very long life span. Client thanked us for the quotes we will follow up on Tuesday.
