Pulled the toilet in the master bedroom after inspection revealed water around the base. Further evaluation showed movement in the toilet. Upon removal, it was found that the existing wax ring had not compressed properly due to the toilet flange being set too low. To correct this, a flange spacer was installed to achieve the proper height for a secure seal. A new jumbo wax ring with horn was used, along with new Johnny bolts, washers and nuts to secure the toilet. Once fully secured, the toilet was tested for proper operation and verified to be free of leaks. A bead of caulking was also applied around the base of the toilet in accordance with code requirements.
