I had a Bradford 40-gallon gas water heater installed by Summers in February 2023. When the unit began leaking in Oct–Nov 2025, it was still under manufacturer warranty and qualified for replacement. While the heater itself was covered, I was charged $1,200 in labor alone for the swap-out of their own prior installation. The job took under 2 hours total for two man crew, plus about an hour to heat the tank. No new plumbing layout, no complications. The labor charge felt excessive and not proportional to the work performed. I’ve also had inconsistent experiences with their technicians. Some of their senior staff are excellent, but there seems to be high variability depending on who is dispatched, with newer hires sometimes lacking experience. Additional concerns: • I was charged $340 for a drain snake that was unsuccessful, and I was told they’d consult a master plumber and follow up — no one ever contacted me. • I later hired Zoom Drain, who resolved the issue quickly and at a fraction of the cost. • I paid $420 for a toilet install (labor only) in a powder room where the old toilet was already removed. The job took 45 minutes, the site was clean, but again, the pricing felt high for the scope of work. Overall, while some of their technicians are skilled, I’ve found recent pricing to be very high, follow-up to be inconsistent, and the experience unpredictable depending on who you get. I will be exploring other home maintenance companies going forward.

Erik was great. Was here for the annual preventative maintenance on furnace and walked me through everything he was doing. Even took time to explain concern over burn marks inside. Erik thoroughly explained what cause was and what steps should be taken to prevent a future expensive fix.

My furnace stopped working just before Thanksgiving and I was anticipating the worst scenario. This company went above and beyond to squeeze me into their schedule and admit that they were at fault. Apparently when they installed my new AC recently the wiring was incorrect causing my furnace to stop working. Nick could have easily not mentioned this and charged me for the repair. I will remain a loyal customer for life and could not recommend Nick and Summers more.

I was working as an HVAC contractor and was tasked with changing the location of a return air duct and one supply air duct. I also had to put a line set cover on a 3-ton conventional unit.
Replacement defective 1/2” ball valve and install new propress ball valve to isolation spigot hydrant
Replacement defective gas fired water heater tank and installed new water heater tank under warranty.
I am a skilled professional that works for Summers Quality Services. I recently completed a job installing a new conventional hvac system. The job involved removing old system and disposing of it properly, hooking up the supply and return duct, installing a new electronic air cleaner, hooking up pvc drains, and all electrical wiring. The thermostat was changed to a new white rogers programmable smart thermostats. tested everything and everything was working properly. The customer was happy and warm at the end of the day.
