Thermostat repair by Samuel at Total Home services of Utah
Repaired an air conditioning system by replacing the TXV (thermal expansion valve). Diagnosed restricted refrigerant flow causing poor cooling performance. Recovered the refrigerant and removed the faulty TXV. Installed a new TXV, ensuring proper fit and function. Pulled a vacuum on the system with a Robinair VacuMaster to eliminate moisture and air. Recharged the system with R-410A refrigerant. Verified efficient operation and optimal cooling performance after the repair.
Performed comprehensive air conditioning system cleaning. Disconnected power, following lockout/tagout procedures. Removed panels to access indoor and outdoor coils. Used approved foaming coil cleaner and rinsed with low-pressure water spray. Cleared condensate drain lines with compressed nitrogen. Cleaned blower components and housings. Properly replaced panels and reconnected power. Validated optimized airflow and heat transfer for improved efficiency.
