Upon arrival in Bloomfield, CT, we found the slate cap was too small and concave. Water runoff was rolling down the inside flue opening. We replaced that with a new bluestone cap.
This chimney in Bloomfield had a cracked crown and no caps. Needed to install crown coat weather proof coating and two stainless steel caps to prevent water entry.
Unlined Bloomfield CT chimney flue was found to be non operational in its current venting system per NFPA 211 code standards. Installed a chimney liner system and connected woodstove.
Customer had a leaking old metal faux chimney chase. We removed and replaced with a new class A chimney pipe ice , installed some surrounding shingles with ice and water barrier, new flashing kit, storm collar and a stainless steel chimney cap.
