New Haven chimney inspection. We found the chimney was unlined , built before the code for clay tile liners. Exterior chimney had water and soot staining and damage. It had a spot repair of tar on the flashing which is often a sign of having a leak problem in past. Reccomended new gas tight stainless liner and a roof up rebuild of chimney.
