The fireplace damper was not working properly. Safeside Chimney repaired the chimney damper back to working condition.
Leaking chimney with heavy cast crown that had many deep cracks and pooling areas around tiles. Crown removal would have caused the need to completely rebuild the top of this stone chimney. Best solution in this case was to repoint all the mortar joints, install a water-impermeable crown seal, and apply an industrial-grade water repellant.

Chimney top had a poorly done handy man repair with tar that caused water issues (tar is not breathable nor an appropriate repair) Chimney tiles were broken. Rebuilt top of chimney , including new proper clay tiles and a gas tight stainless steel liner for the heating system.
