Today, I came out to the customer’s residence to perform a full electrical inspection of the home. During the evaluation, I inspected the service equipment, interior electrical panels, accessible wiring, crawl space, switches, receptacles, and life-safety devices. At the service and panel equipment, I identified multiple safety concerns, including corrosion present on components, improper terminations and double tapped neutrals. The interior panel was found to be overcrowded with too many circuits installed, overloaded (amperage), which can lead to overheating and potential fire hazards. Additionally the Tesla charger installed was utilzing incorrect wiring type as well as undersized for the system. The home currently does not have whole-home surge protection installed, leaving the electrical system and connected appliances vulnerable to power surges.
