The electricians were here in about 4 hours, immediately diagnosed the problem and quickly resolved it. Thankfully the shortage was underground in a conduit or our house would have burned. It was another problem given us by the A/C installers from a now out-of- business big-box store.

Upon receiving a call about intermittent power in certain areas, I began by inspecting the affected circuits. After a thorough examination, it was determined that two outlets were the root cause of the issue due to visible burn marks and damage. Both outlets were carefully removed and replaced with new ones, ensuring all connections were secure and up to code. Following the replacements, I conducted a series of tests to confirm that the circuit was functioning correctly and that the problem had been fully resolved. The outlets now operate consistently, providing reliable power to the area.
Electrician repaired a water heater power outage issue by replacing an older breaker with a newer breaker
Electrical Repair: Dispatched for a breaker repeatedly tripping under normal household load. Measured current draw and inspected connected devices and wiring. Determined circuit was overloaded by multiple high-demand appliances. Installed a new dedicated circuit to redistribute load, tested both circuits under full load, and confirmed breaker now operates normally.
EV Charger Installation: Installed a dedicated circuit for a new electric vehicle charger in the garage. Ran appropriately sized wiring from the main panel, installed a new breaker, mounted the outlet, and connected wiring according to manufacturer specifications. Verified voltage, amperage, and functionality by testing the charger under load.
Electrical Installation: Installed new pendant lights over kitchen island. Verified ceiling junction box was fan/fixture-rated and properly supported. Ran new wiring from switch to fixtures, connected all wiring with wire nuts and grounding, mounted lights securely, and tested brightness, dimmer functionality, and proper illumination.
Electrical Repair: Dispatched for a basement circuit repeatedly tripping. Inspected wiring, outlets, and junction boxes, and found damaged insulation causing a short to ground. Replaced affected wiring segment, tightened all connections, tested continuity and insulation resistance, and verified the circuit now operates safely under normal load without tripping.
Electrical Repair: Responded to an urgent call for a smoking outlet in the kitchen. Shut down power to the affected circuit, removed outlet, and inspected wiring. Found melted insulation and a burned receptacle due to loose connections. Replaced the outlet and damaged wiring, resecured connections, restored power, and tested to confirm safe operation.
Generator Installation: Dispatched to install a new standby generator for backup power. Selected proper location and verified clearance and ventilation requirements. Installed generator pad, positioned unit, and connected to existing transfer switch. Ran fuel line, connected electrical wiring to panel, and verified proper grounding. Performed initial startup, tested automatic transfer switch operation under simulated power outage, and confirmed generator starts, transfers, and runs safely under load.
Electrical Inspection: Conducted a detailed inspection of main electrical panel due to age and homeowner concerns. Checked breaker conditions, bus bar connections, grounding, and signs of overheating or corrosion. Identified minor corrosion and overheating indicators on several breakers. Provided a written evaluation including recommendations for panel repair or replacement options.
Electrical Repair: Responded to repeated arc fault breaker trips in the living room. Inspected wiring and outlets and found damaged wire behind a wall plate causing arcing. Replaced damaged wiring, retested arc fault breaker, and confirmed that the breaker now operates properly without nuisance trips.
Electrical Installation: Installed new GFCI outlets in kitchen and bathroom areas to improve electrical safety. Removed standard receptacles, installed GFCI devices with proper labeling, tested trip and reset functions, and verified protection of downstream outlets to ensure full compliance with code requirements.
