Performed a routine sprinkler system maintenance inspection. After checking in with the facility manager, I inspected the sprinkler heads, control valves, pressure gauges, and piping for any signs of damage or wear. During the inspection, I noticed that one of the sprinkler heads in the storage area was clogged with debris, which could prevent it from functioning properly in an emergency. I carefully cleaned the sprinkler head and tested it to ensure proper water flow. Additionally, I checked the system’s pressure and verified it was within the required range. After completing the necessary repairs, I updated the maintenance records, informed the facility manager of the completed work, and recommended scheduling a follow-up inspection in six months to maintain the system’s reliability.

I completed a Fire Alarm Inspection and Testing (FAIT) today in Vancouver, WA. I tested the fire alarm control panel, inspected all smoke detectors, pull stations, and heat sensors, and verified the operation of the strobe lights and audible alarms. The system passed all tests and is functioning as required for fire safety.
