I repaired a Goodman GMVC96 gas furnace experiencing overheating due to a dirty heat exchanger. I dismantled the furnace, carefully cleaned the heat exchanger fins, and cleared debris from the draft inducer. During the inspection, I found the pressure switch tubing partially clogged, which I replaced with a new section. Additionally, the flame sensor was corroded, so I polished it to restore proper conductivity. After reassembly, I calibrated the system and ran multiple heating cycles to confirm everything was in optimal working condition. This repair restored consistent and efficient heating for the homeowner.
