Just wrapped up an AC repair for the Martinez family here in Friona. Their system was blowing warm air and making an unusual rattling noise when running. After a thorough inspection, I found a failed capacitor and a loose mounting bracket on the condenser fan motor causing the vibration. Replaced the capacitor, secured all mounting hardware, and checked refrigerant levels while I was at it. System is now cooling properly and running quiet as can be. Also took some time to clean their condenser coils which were pretty gunked up with cottonwood seeds and dust – that'll help their efficiency quite a bit during these hot summer months. Left them with a couple filters and scheduled their fall maintenance.
