Upon arrival customer showed me an ac unit in the closet that needed tuned up. The evap coil is clean. Cleared the condensate with nitrogen and solvent. Checked the system for proper amp and voltage. Went to the condenser and checked system for proper amp and voltage. Found a contactor pitting. Replaced the contactor. While the unit was running I checked amps on the compressor and it was over amping. Installed a hard start. Recommend to schedule are comfort adviser to come out to give an estimate because unit is 9 years old and over amping. Customer denied at this time. Also installed a surge protector.
