Materials added Contactor 2 pole Notes: arrived for two-system maintenance with tuneup special. Customer mentioned new duct system and new insulation. The units have been running well. Waived todays fee and this will count as 1 of 2 visits for the year, for one system (main). Summary: the contactor on the outdoor unit is buzzing. I suggest replacing to help prevent premature breakdown. The indoor blower wheel assembly and evaporator coil has debris buildup. Cleaning will help improve overall efficiency. Based on the age of the system an option is to invest towards a new one vs this unit. Both units are cooling well at this time.

Arrived and found system operational but the outside unit was not coming on yesterday, I went over the system and found dual capacitor is weak and considered failed per manufacturers specifications, hard start kit should be replaced with the dual capacitor and contactor is charred and pitted, quoted to do a compressor overhaul assembly on the outdoor unit, decided to pass on the overhaul assessment today, quoted just for the dual capacitor only and quote was accepted, replaced dual capacitor at least it will be better than doing nothing to it and potentially loosing one of the motors or compressor. Washed outdoor coil, vacuumed drain, primary water float switch should be replaced wires are tangled together and switch will not work if system condensing water backs up and it’s a water damage hazard, quoted for float switch and quoted for air purifier Uv bulb and cell, compressor getting louder and could be a future repair. Replaced dual capacitor today and tested system refrigerant press

03/17/24 Upon arrival I found the yellow compressor wire bubbled, corroded, & burnt off the capacitor on HERM. A small wire repair was performed & I used insulated spade connectors to help out with the salt air environment. (Corroded compressor yellow wire). Also, I checked the LRA amp draw of the compressor. The compressor pulled 93.3 amps on start up exceeding manufacturers specs….. I installed a hard start kit to step down the compressor LRA amp draw & verified the refrigerant pressure & temperature difference. System is now pulling less than 51 amps & cycled the system on & off several times. I also recommend a surge protector be installed. Thank you for choosing Total Air….. 03/17/24 - REPAIRS PERFORMED TODAY Small wire repair Removed corroded, bubbled wire that was burnt off the capacitor. I also installed insulated spade connector for the salt air environment….. hard start kit Step down the over and bring compressor on start up. The compressor was pulling 93.3 A after the smal

Upon arrival I found the evaporator coil completely frozen over & frozen back to the compressor threw the suction line. I defrosted the system in heat mode. I performed an electronic leak search and found a leak in the evaporator coil. (See pics for pressures before recharging the system…. Performed tonight repairs included an Electronic refrigerant leak search to Pinpoint the refrigerant leak & adding 3lbs of 410a to Recharge the system back to manufacture specs… ( no guarantee of refrigerant leaking out. I recommend replacing the evaporator coil under parts warranty. Thank you for choosing Total Air…

Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Checked thermostat calibration and filter location. Customer has cleaned and rinsed filter. Checked safety float switch and inspected drain line. The drain line is cleared and works properly. Went to rooftop condenser unit and checked refrigerant pressure in the system while running. Located the refrigerant pressure is low and the condenser unit is stopped due to low pressure switch. Checked and search for leak on copper line fittings and air evaporator coil. Located slowly leaking from the core valve in condenser unit. I have replaced the core valve and checked for leaks in the system. Unit needs added refrigerant to keep unit cooling properly. Firstcco installed June 2022 **Called rose to explain what I have found issues on ac not cooling. Wanted to explain to customer that renewal on membership is very important to have annual preventative maintenance inspections on ac system to prevent premature breakdowns on ac system. *Stro

Amana Model # ASPT29B14AB Serial # 2003594124 Free 2nd option Diagnostic on leaks in evaporator coil for warranty repair. Search for leak in evaporator coil and copper fittings. No indication of leaks in evaporator coil. Customer has used coil cleaning foam to clean coil himself. Coil is free of debris and has straight fins on coil. Customer has replaced filter. Checked system operation and located the blower motor is not working and needs to be replaced in warranty. The blower motor stopped and has caused the evaporator coil to ice up and prevent cool air into the home. After blower motor is replaced strongly recommend new safety surge protector on air handler unit to prevent voltage spikes and electrical failure on control board and new blower motor. Polarized media air cleaner is the best way to prevent dirt and dust from entering into the system that causes premature breakdowns on ac system. I have gave customer information on media air cleaner. Customer has approved for

Upon arriving, when turning, the unit on water is dripping from out of the turning veins. The entire unit is heavily impacted with dust, dirt and soot from candle burning. The entire unit needed to be taken apart and clean as well as cleaning out the drain pan and chemically treating the condensate drain line. I ran the system for 30 to 45 minutes to monitor and make sure that no more water was overflowing and exiting the unit.

Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Customer has video of condenser unit outside is turn off and on every 10 seconds. After condenser trying to start up after 10-20 times the condenser has full function and running properly with no shutting down. Checked electrical wiring and checked contactor in place. Unit has good capacitor and contactor is working properly. Unit has no control board, has wired high pre Switch internal of the condenser unit. The York condenser pressure switch is failing at random times. Rinsed condenser coil and compressor deck. Condenser coil is clean and free of debris no blockage on condenser coil. Max amp draw on unit running is 11.9 amps. Amp draw is in acceptable range. Strongly recommend to have pressure switch replacement to high safety on condenser unit as it has no other safety features. The pressure switch is a sweat component and will need to be recovered refrigerant from unit and new high pressure switch is to be welded in plac

Leak was found to be at the aluminum and copper connection of the EEV valve. I have verified with Johnstone that they have the part in stock at the Brandon location and estimated ETA for them to receive it is on Monday. I’ve provided customer with an estimate to replace the EEV valve however, determination on the amount of refrigerant that will be needed to refill the system will be determined at the time of repair. Customer is well aware that the initial quote for the refrigerant will differ. Customer approved to move forward with the work. Leak search and add 2 pounds 410a

Condenser coil is very dirty. Washed with water. I recommend a chemical cleaning to maximize efficiency during peak season. Checked capacitor, took compressor amp draw. Flushed drain line and coil pan while vacuuming from drain end. During air handler inspection I noticed biological growth on the evaporator coil pan and on the blower wheel. Took temperature split from the return grill and supply plenum. Checked refrigerant pressures and temperatures. Tested unit in heat. System is running well.

Performed preventative maintenance tune up. Checked blower motor operation and inspected equipment cabinet. Checked safety float switch and inspected drain line. Cleaned vacuumed condenser coil and cleaned rinsed condenser coil and compressor deck. Checked refrigerant levels and check test start up components. Unit has good capacitor and working properly. Recommend to have drain line treatment to clear blockage in the drain line. Customer has approved for drain line cleaning at this time. Cleaned and treated the drain line and flushed the drain line with solvent. Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Located bad contactor on condenser unit. Customer has approved for part replacement. Unit is cooling well and drains properly. Recommend new safety surge protector on condenser unit to prevent voltage spikes and electrical failure on control board and compressor unit.
