Tech's of Total Air

I would like to express my gratitude for one of Total Air's HVAC techs. Wade in my opinion is a rock star. He has been to my house several times and each time he went above & beyond to fix my problem. I had a small leak in my condensate like and he ended up replacing a large portion of it. But the amazing thing about it was the space he had to work. It was no more than 6 inches to work in and not one mean word. Absolutely amazing tA true super star.ech.

Great Service

Nathan quickly diagnosed the problem with my AC unit and offered a same day resolution. Twice he had to leave for a part as the first time he was given the wrong part. He went above and beyond to get the parts, resolve the problem and had me up and running before 5:30 PM. Great work and very professional.

3 Mini Split Cleanings Customer wants to renew on site. You'll need to call into the office after she renews so we can apply the 15% discount for her. Recommend new renewal of Taps membership to reduce cost and annual preventative maintenance inspections. Pulled and cleaned each mini split blower wheel and assembly. Rinse and sanitize the blower wheel and drain pan. Cleaned and wiped all air handler plastic and cleaned and rinse filters. Test checked operation of each mini split unit. Called out today to perform a precision tune up. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating properly within manufacture specifications. Cleared drain line and checked filter. Drain line was heavily clogged, I highly recommended treating drain with drain solve. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Tightened all wire connections. Outside I removed the fan from the condenser and cleaned the coil. Vacuumed drain line clear from outdoor port. This is the last visit on this years maintenance agreement. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Arrived at customer's house for system inspection. On arrival customer showed me to package unit in back. Open blower wheel cabinet and check inside. Saw bottom had a lot of water on it. Took off drain trap, vacuumed and Beat out the rest of the drain jelly caught in the trap. Unit now flowing fine. Did see some biogrowth on inside of air handler cabinet. Customer has Au V light but he does not know last time it was changed. Gave customer literature and information on our pure air UV light. With this being a package unit and stationed completely outside suggesting they get this upgrade to have a better chance of combating biogrowth and get home air quality where it belongs. Unit is producing proper Delta T. Next checked electric cabinet. Contactor sending proper voltage. Capacitor is below name plate rating. Show this to customer and explain what would happen if they allowed capacitor to completely die. Suggested they change now. Customer agreed. Changed out capacitor and started off

Complete quoted repairs. I performed a pull and clean on the evaporator coil. I removed the coil and used the pressure washer to rinse and added expandable foam coil cleaner. I removed all dirt, dust and debris. I installed the coil back in place and performed (2) tests. I filled the system up with 200 psi of nitrogen to ensure no leaks to the system. I also ran a vacuum on the line-set to ensure it is clean. I performed a wire repair as well. The existing low voltage wire was deteriorated and unsecured. I spliced the wire from the line-set cover into the unit so this wire is new. I zip tied the wire to the bottom of the line-set to help prevent damage from the sun. Cycle and inspect equipment. Left system in working order. Customer had a thermostat arrive just in time for me to install after repairs were made. I wired and programmed the thermostat properly. Me and the customer set up the app. I tested the system in all modes. Thermostat is good to go.

Performed preventative maintenance on upstairs unit and down stairs unit. Inspected and tightened all electrical on both air handlers. Cleared drain pans and condensate drain lines. Calibrated and tested thermostats. Cycled heating. Took amperage on heat strips and indoor fan motors. Inspected air handler cabinets for biological growth. Inspected evaporator coils. Cycled cooling. Tested all float safety switches. Took temperature differences. During inspection of downstairs air handler found uv light element failed. Spoke to customer she approved replacement of the element. Installed new uv light element. During inspection of air handler upstairs found biological growth starting in the air handler highly recommend installing uv light in air handler cabinet. Spoke to customer about benefits. Located condensers onside of house. Inspected and tightened all electrical. Checked capacitors. Took refrigerant pressures on both units. Took amperage of compressor and outdoor fan. Cleared de

Called out today to perform a precision tune up on two units. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating within manufacture specifications. Checked filters and cleared drain lines. The air handler located in the attic had a visible blockage in the drain line. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Both units were filled with dirt and debris within the machines. I recommend cleaning them and installing UV sterilization. Outside I removed the fan from the unit and cleaned the condenser coils. Unit #2 at the condenser… the dual capacitor has failed due to manufacture specifications. Client is aware and would like to wait until failure. There is one more visit remaining on this years maintenance agreement. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Arrived at customers for system inspection. On arrival customers showed me to air handler system. Air handler is equipped with pure air UV Bulb. Under evaporator coil was cleaning. Fan was clean. Vacuumed out drain line and heard good vacuum from upstairs. Unit had water in secondary drain Pan. Pointed out to customer. We were here in September so this is a courtesy drain pan vacuum. Unit is not equipped with a primary Float switch. Does have a drip line which I believe is taking in warm attic air and it is condensating and dripping out which is filling the secondary dream hand. Explained this to Customer and suggested they get a primary float switch. Customer agreed. Installed float switch and started unit. Unit started fine. Unit is producing proper Delta t. Next went outside to condenser. Open electric cabinet and tested components. Contact or sending proper voltage. Capacitor not within acceptable range. Point it out to customer and explain what capacitor did. Suggested she get a

Complete member tune up. Inspect filter location. I showed customers how to seat the filter properly. Clear and flush condensate pump. I cleared the PVC line going to the reservoir. I washed out the reservoir. I blew out the vinyl hosing going outside with nitrogen. At air handler, inspect electrical components. Test amps and volts. Delta t measures at 19 degrees. Ensure system is heating and cooling properly. A picture of the evaporator coil will be uploaded. The evaporator coil needs to be cleaned. The customers approved a pull and clean. At condenser checked pressures, temps, amps and volts. The high voltage contactor is extremely pitted and burnt. The customer approved replacing the contactor and work was complete. The low voltage wire at the condenser is deteriorating. We will need to splice the wire coming from the line-set cover to the unit to ensure no electrical shortages. The coil cleaning and wire repair will need to be completed at the same time. We will be able to return t

Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Customer mentioned the thermostat is not reading outside temperature sensor. Checked thermostat calibration and reset thermostat error code EB6 loss communication. Checked condenser unit fuse and electrical components. Located the main control board is burnt out. (Pictures taken). Needs control board replacement on outside condenser unit. Highly recommend new safety surge protector on outside condenser unit.
