Wish I found this company 6 years ago

Moved to Florida 6 years ago and have gone from one HVAC company to another. A friend referred me to Total Air, and I am very impressed. Just wish I found this company 6 years ago. They are great and I my searching around for a good HVAC company is complete.

New hanging kit with rods and brackets, new float switch, new supply plenum first 18 inches and entirely new return plenum, new breakers in panel ge, 2 pads with blocks outside, flush and pressure test copper line set, new filter drier, new armaflex on copper line set outside, go into attic and inspect ductwork and seal any leaks found, all permits and inspections are included. Re-install UV systems.

OFFICE please call to reschedule for outdoor portion of maintenance Membership maintenance 2017 Trane split system. Only completed indoor maintenance due to storm. Checked all wiring. Tested float switch . Took air split at supply and return. Took blower motor amp draw. Tested blower motor capacitor microfarads. Found burnt uv bulb, bulb was due to be replaced in may. Installed a new uv bulb today. Found bad float switch , installed new float switch today. System is running well at this time.

Membership maintenance 2018 American standard. System #2- checked all wiring. Checked compressor and fan motor amp draws. Took indoor blower amp. Took air temp split at supply and return. Flushed vacuumed the drain line. Tested the capacitor microfarads. Checked refrigerant pressures. Tested float switch function . Blower wheel is dirty. Evaporator coil is clean. Bio growth found on blower motor wiring and evaporator coil pan . Float switch is bad needs to be replaced. Capacitor is low, recommend replacement Blower wheel is dirty needs to be cleaned. Recommend adding a uv light in air handler cabinet to prevent bacterial growth after cleaning. System #1. Checked all wiring. Tested float switch function. Flushed drain line. Tested condensate pump function. Took blower motor amp draw. Blower wheel is clean. Evap coil is clean. Bio growth found on motor wiring and insulation. Filter is clean. Took air temp split at supply plenum and thermostat. Tested capacitor mfd. took compressor

Arrived at home to find both upstairs units one Trane unit one Lennox unit both of the drain lines were completely backed up. One is severely backed up. I set up a shop vac inside, sucking from the inside, and I took my CO2 gun and blew the drain line from the outside. There was no clean out on the inside for me to do this. When I did do this it removed a lot of buildup from inside the drain lines. I did take pictures. I was able to get both drain lines cleared need to return perform complete maintenance. On all three systems I believe that they were way behind they were out of town and they came home last night to find water coming down from the ceiling. When I mean water it is flooded. The return Plenum is going to have to be all redone. It was completely saturated with water The cause of this was a lack of maintenance. This could all could’ve been prevented. I checked the float switches float switches had buildup on them sludge which prevented the float from rising. The bobb

Upon arrival, homeowner mentioned that the house was down. Proceeded to check out the equipment in the garage above the ceiling down the air handler pulled out secondary drain and found it filled with water. Removed and equipment began operating. Proceeded to tell the homeowner that it was a backed up drain line and since I am here, I will check out the rest of the equipment to make sure that it’s an operating condition. Proceeded to clean out the drain line with the vacuum and flush. Add completion of vacuum and flush. I pour down drain saw acid to clean out any other debris that is left behind. Continue with call and checked out entire system. found some growth beginning inside the air handler cabinet, left a UV light estimate for homeowner. At this time the equipment is operating normally and cooling.

Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival I found the thermostat set to heat. Turned the system to cool at 77 degrees and briefly tested system. Client declined system evaluation and maintenance renewal. Checked refrigerant pressures. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Took amp draws. Arrived at this customers house his system came on, but when I hooked my gauges up, they were very low and it needed refrigerant. I told him that it is a contained system, and the only way that this refrigerant leaks out is if there’s a leak somewhere at this time money is a little tight, so I just got him up and cooling, it took 4 pounds of R 410a refrigerant by the time I left he had a 20° split 59° supply 79° return cleared the drain line removed a bunch of stuff. The system is operating properly at this time.

3 Total Systems Trane 2006 R22. Unit #1 - out of refrigerant, evaporator coil is rusted. It is time to replace this system. Unit #2 - system runs for about 5 minutes and then the indoor fan stops running. The capacitor was leaking oil and the blower motor was over heating and had a burn smell. Replaced capacitor and ran system. Once again motor is over amping and over heating. Both parts need to be replaced and further diagnosis is needed to ensure system will be running efficiently. I would not invest into this unit based on refrigerant type and age. Best option is to install a new system as well as #1. Collected 50% deposit for capacitor and indoor blower motor. Serial No. 6241PK22V Model No. 2TEC3F48A1000AA Left unit #2 off at AH disconnect box. Office please follow up with customer for motor lead time and schedule comfort advisor. Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival thermostat was nearly blank due to a damaged screen. Client was interested in a smart thermostat. He approved the installation of a Honeywell 9000. I set up the Wi-Fi and walked him through system operation on his phone. Tested both heat and cool modes. Checked all electronics and motor components on the first floor unit. Showed client the corroded evaporator coil that is falling apart into the pan. Flushed drain line. Tested float switch. Measured the temperature drop and rise across the coil. Outside I checked refrigerant pressures. System is low on R-22 refrigerant. Made client aware that R22 has not been manufactured as of the beginning of 2020. Showed him the difference in refrigerant pressures and temperatures of the second floor unit. He is aware that the system is due to be replaced and will not maintain temperature during hotter months. He would like to wait until complete failure. I did offer for a comfort advisor

Package unit, semi annual maintenance . Upon arrival to the scheduled one time tune up, was informed everything is on the side of the house as system is a package unit. I pulled off the panel doors and inspected all electrical components and connections, collected amp draw and voltage readings of electrical equipment, and check the unit for cleanliness. The temperature split is 20 degrees in cooling mode and within normal range. Checked and tightened all electrical components to make sure they were secure and within factory range. Flushed drain with the water hose to remove any blockage or debris. The air filter didn’t not need to be changed. Checked the system refrigerant charge and it is within normal range and all electrical components are secure. I noticed the system doesn’t have a surge protector but the entire house does, dual capacitor needed to be changed. Recommend installing a surge protector to prevent system components from failure due to power surges. Washed outdoor coil t

Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Customer has mentioned they have reset the breaker and clean drain line with vacuum. Unit is not cooling properly. Checked thermostat calibration and filter location. Checked blower motor operation and inspected equipment cabinet. The evaporator coil is rusty and aged equipment. Located the blower motor is bad and needs to be replaced. The blower motor is to pull in air from return filter and send thruway the evaporator coil and out the ductwork. Need blower motor replacement Bryant Model # Fb4cnf048 Serial # 3414a84840 Checked condenser unit and start up components. The condenser has good refrigerant pressure in the system. Customer would like comfort advisor to come out provided estimate for unit replacement. I have placed an estimate for blower motor replacement Customer has approved for comfort advisor to estimate for unit upgrade. 2500 sq ft. With 4 ton heat pump condenser. I performed a tuneup to include rinsing the indoor and outdoor coils, checked all electrical connections, flush the drain line, checked, refrigerant level, checked all filters. System is performing an operating within manufacture specifications with a 18° temperature split a 10° south cooling at 10° superheat evaporator and condenser and coil’s were very clean. Filter was also in good condition. No recommendations at this time and.
