Great Service, Impressive fast response time.

What makes Total Air standout from others? The technical skills of their technicians are outstanding. Other companies might say their trained and skilled, but they are not. I was very upset with the last company who serviced my AC. Total air is a one company I will recommend to anyone looking for service or a new AC unit..

Great Service

My AC failed this morning. I called Total Air for service and Wade Hepp arrived around 3:30 this afternoon and quickly traced down some complicated electrical problems both in the Air Handler and on the compressor. Wade had the parts needed on his truck and got everything back running. Wade was extremely courteous and considerate. He even put covers over his shoes when he entered my home. Thank you Wade for the fast and courteous service!

Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival the condenser fan motor would not turn on. Fan motor is seized. Capacitor is low. Evaporator coil is corroded and falling apart. There is corrosion in the condenser as well. This unit is past the end of it’s expected lifespan. Machine is out of manufacture warranty. Gave options for fan motor and capacitor replacement. Even after the motor is replaced there is a chance that there are additional issues with this machine. A comfort advisor will be out from 4-5 today to give options on machine replacement. Left disconnect pulled and turned indoor fan on to provide some comfort. Client declined preventative maintenance plan at this time. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Indoor fan motor has failed. Fan motor is moving very slowly causing the evaporator coil to freed up due to lack of proper airflow. Customer authorized to move forward with replacing the motor and wishes to give more thought for moving forward with cleaning of the blower wheel and evaporator coil and possibly a pure air UV light. Additional findings after installing the new blower motor, I started the system and ran it in cooling for 20 minutes and discovered that the system is slightly under charge by 2 to 3 pounds of refrigerant only achieving a 1.8° to 2° sub cooling when the manufacture requirement is 11° sub cooling. Complementary.

Performed preventative maintenance tune up. First I have cleared debris from compressor unit. Cleaned and rinsed condenser coil and compressor deck. I have change all filters. Inspected the air handler unit. Unit service is for main office. Customer has mentioned the unit has been struggling to keep temperature during hot summer months. Checked blower motor operation and inspected equipment cabinet. Cleaned and rinsed drain pan and vacuumed drain line. Flushed drain line with water and primed drain line. The evaporator coil is rusty dirty and needs a deep cleaning to help unit breathe properly and cooling properly. Unit has good capacitor and blower motor is running properly. Next went to condensers on ground. During start up the Condensers unit is noisy while running. The compressor amp draw is over manufacture specifications at 19 amps. Customer has mentioned the unit has possibly leaking in r22 system. Checked condenser fan operation and checked electrical components. The capaci

Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival system would not respond. Found that the float switch was tripped due to a clog in the primary pan. Gave options for a one time flush vs a preventative maintenance plan. Client enrolled in the preventative maintenance program and I waived the charge for flushing the drain. Performed first tune up today. Checked all electronics and motor components to ensure equipment is operating properly within manufacture specifications. Flushed drain line. Tested capacitors. Blower wheel and coil are clean. Measured the temperature drop across the coil. Outside I checked refrigerant pressures. Took amp draws. Removed the fan from the condenser and cleaned the coil from the inside out. Vacuumed drain line clear from outside port. Equipment is operating properly at this time. Client is aware that he has one remaining tune up before renewal. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

03/14/24 DISPATCH PLEASE call to confirm a comfort advisor between 3 or 4pm tomorrow, 03/15/24 for system replacement w/ductwork replacement… Found duct work insulation coming threw the supply vents. I inspected the duct work & found the original duct work installed & mouse droppings inside & outside of the AH. HOLES in the supply plenum. Also, a dirty filter & a purple balloon in the filter section of the AH. ( see pics). I found the pressure & temperature off from manufacture specs. 9 degree SC & the system calls for 13 degrees. VERIFIED homeowners parts only warranty. Costly repairs outweighs replacement options & does not guarantee further breakdowns until the duct is replaced. Thank you for choosing Total Air…. Repairs performed tonight included Recharge the system w/r-410a Bring the sub cool back to 13 degrees (manufacturing specs)

Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Checked blower motor operation and inspected equipment cabinet. Strongly recommend pulling and cleaning the blower wheel to help unit breathe properly and keep properly. Checked thermostat calibration and filter location. Checked outside condenser unit and drain line. The condenser unit is not working or running. Open service panel and located the defrost control board and fan relay logic board is burnt out. No rodent or critters inside. Due to age equipment and failure on components, strongly recommended to have comfort advisor speak with customer about upgrading the system to the energy standards of today’s equipment. Customer is interested into new germicidal uvc light to new unit installed. New unit installed will have maintenance inspections and 10 yr warranty on equipment. Customer has approved for comfort advisor to estimate for unit replacement. Tomorrow is next available for comfort advisor afternoon. Comfort advi

Customer said the system is working well since we replaced the capacitor. They would like to renew for the total air cares program 2 for 1. System is R22 Freon. Unit is cooling well at this time. I would consider a new system before the end of th year and the next refrigerant type begins.

I return to install 10 KW heat kit and also replaced TXV valve. I tested system in both heating and cooling and both work well. Upon arriving system was not heating I first found that the thermostat was wired incorrectly with the white wire being plugged into W/electric heat, when it should be plugged into a W-2 due to it being a heat pump. Also, the thermostat was program incorrectly. Additionally, the suction line pressure dropped to 15 psi‘s when operating in heat. However, when switching to cool mold, pressures operated normally. There is a restriction at the outdoor TXV, which needs to be replaced. Also, the heat sequencer was faulty. Customer approved repair items need it will be an outdoor TXV and a three stack heat sequencer.

Materials added 2 cans of evaporator cleaner Notes: customer recently moved into the home and signed up for our membership program. Did a full tuneup on two systems inspected all electrical components, Freon levels, delta T, and cleared and flushed drain lines. Summary: system number 1: the high side Schrader needs to be replaced. This can cause refrigerant to leak out of the system and it is loose. The evaporator coil also has debris buildup and a level one cleaning will help remove debris and have better efficiency. System number 2: the capacitor is outside factory range. I highly suggest replacement to help prevent premature breakdown. Both systems have calcified drains. Adrian salt treatment will help prevent a clogged drain. Completed the following repairs. Replaced Schrader core on system number one high side once replaced insured. Freon levels were within. Normal range completed evaporator clean in place on the garage. Air handler completed drain solve on number two. I n

Called out today to complete a quad repair on an indoor air handling unit evaporator coil. Coil needs to be replaced. Pumps down all refrigerant to the outdoor unit and cut the evaporator coil out of the air handling unit. Cut drain lines and copper piping. Install the new evaporator coil/TXV to factory specifications. Tied in the systems, suction and discharge copper lines, rebuilt systems, primary condensate, drain line, and started the system in the cooling mode. Notice the system was extremely low on refrigerant. Added 5 pounds R410a to the system to get pressures within range factory specifications. Completed full system inspection, verified functions in both heating and cooling modes at indoor and outdoor units. At this time the system is producing a 21° delta T in the cooling mode, and the system was producing 94° in heating mode. Cleared the condensate drain line with nitrogen to ensure the drain line can drain properly while operating in the cooling mode. This drain li
