Great Service

My AC failed this morning. I called Total Air for service and Wade Hepp arrived around 3:30 this afternoon and quickly traced down some complicated electrical problems both in the Air Handler and on the compressor. Wade had the parts needed on his truck and got everything back running. Wade was extremely courteous and considerate. He even put covers over his shoes when he entered my home. Thank you Wade for the fast and courteous service!

Excellent

As usual Jason displayed great customer service! Arrived on time and had a mask. No complaints here. I don't want to say too much as I know it will go to his head. Also, I didn't get his name but his assistant was exceptional as well.

Maintenance 1 Completed Maintenance on a heat pump split system. Checked all electrical components for proper volts and Amp draw. All components are within factory spec. Replaced warranty capacitor. Back up heater tested OK. Cleared drain line. System pressures and temperatures are correct. The system does not appear to have lost any refrigerant since our last visit. Found heavy bio growth in the air handler. I discussed uvc light and eac filter options. She will contact us when she would like to move forward.

Upon arrival customer told me the heat keeps tripping the breaker. I turned the heat on and the fan would come on. Then once the heat contactor pulled in it would trip the breaker. I found a bad 8KW heat strip. Please call with availability and if under warranty.

Upon arrival customer told me he turned the ac on Monday or Tuesday and tried to turn on the heat Yesterday and nothing came on. I went to the condenser and had 24 volts threw R and C Calling for cooling I had 24v threw Y and C but nothing pulling in the contactor. Calling for heating I 24 Volts threw O and C but nothing pulling in the contactor. I checked the 2 wires coming from the board to each side going to the contactor and I don’t have 24 volts. I pushed the pins on the board and no change I found a bad defrost board. Please look up to see if it is under warranty and price and Availability.

Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival client told me that the system will not go below 80 degrees during the day and runs for hours at a time. Upon arrival the air handler was running but the condenser was not. Compressor makes screeching noise when it attempts to start. The system is completely empty of refrigerant. Explained to the client that the system is out of warranty as operates on R22 refrigerant which is no longer manufactured. It’s still available it at an astronomical price per pound. No get this system running we would be looking at a new compressor, new R22 refrigerant, filter drier, and a leak search and repair. At the age and price of repair… replacement is a wiser choice. Left system off at the thermostat but left the fan on. Comfort consultant will be out at 5 pm today to give options for replacement. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!

Customer concerned about unit not cooling properly. Customer said other companies can not cleaned drain line. Checked blower motor operation and inspected evaporator coil condition. Checked safety float switch and inspected drain line. The drain line is clogged and the drain pan is full of water and leaking on garage floor. Cleaned vacuumed drain pan and drain line. Checked drain pan and drain fittings. Flushed drain pan and drain line with water. Prime drain line and checked unit operation. Unit is cooling well and drains at this. Recommend new Taps membership to reduce cost and annual performance maintenance.

Called out today due to no cooling. Upon arrival system was instantly tripping on the low pressure switch. Even when it’s off the gauges show how extremely low the system is. I performed a visual inspection on the system in attempt to find any oil. Used soap bubbles as well. Gave options for a leak search, easy seal and the possible repair costs of coils. Client would like to start with the easy seal route and then we will keep an eye on how well the system holds the charge. Charged for the diagnosis today of 49.95$, we will apply that to the repair when the work is finished. System is running the fan only at this time. Thank you for always choosing Total Air!
