Great Service, Impressive fast response time.

What makes Total Air standout from others? The technical skills of their technicians are outstanding. Other companies might say their trained and skilled, but they are not. I was very upset with the last company who serviced my AC. Total air is a one company I will recommend to anyone looking for service or a new AC unit..

Great Service

My AC failed this morning. I called Total Air for service and Wade Hepp arrived around 3:30 this afternoon and quickly traced down some complicated electrical problems both in the Air Handler and on the compressor. Wade had the parts needed on his truck and got everything back running. Wade was extremely courteous and considerate. He even put covers over his shoes when he entered my home. Thank you Wade for the fast and courteous service!

As usual Jason displayed great customer service! Arrived on time and had a mask. No complaints here. I don't want to say too much as I know it will go to his head. Also, I didn't get his name but his assistant was exceptional as well.

03/14/24 DISPATCH PLEASE call to confirm a comfort advisor between 3 or 4pm tomorrow, 03/15/24 for system replacement w/ductwork replacement… Found duct work insulation coming threw the supply vents. I inspected the duct work & found the original duct work installed & mouse droppings inside & outside of the AH. HOLES in the supply plenum. Also, a dirty filter & a purple balloon in the filter section of the AH. ( see pics). I found the pressure & temperature off from manufacture specs. 9 degree SC & the system calls for 13 degrees. VERIFIED homeowners parts only warranty. Costly repairs outweighs replacement options & does not guarantee further breakdowns until the duct is replaced. Thank you for choosing Total Air…. Repairs performed tonight included Recharge the system w/r-410a Bring the sub cool back to 13 degrees (manufacturing specs)

I return to install 10 KW heat kit and also replaced TXV valve. I tested system in both heating and cooling and both work well. Upon arriving system was not heating I first found that the thermostat was wired incorrectly with the white wire being plugged into W/electric heat, when it should be plugged into a W-2 due to it being a heat pump. Also, the thermostat was program incorrectly. Additionally, the suction line pressure dropped to 15 psi‘s when operating in heat. However, when switching to cool mold, pressures operated normally. There is a restriction at the outdoor TXV, which needs to be replaced. Also, the heat sequencer was faulty. Customer approved repair items need it will be an outdoor TXV and a three stack heat sequencer.

Materials added 2 cans of evaporator cleaner Notes: customer recently moved into the home and signed up for our membership program. Did a full tuneup on two systems inspected all electrical components, Freon levels, delta T, and cleared and flushed drain lines. Summary: system number 1: the high side Schrader needs to be replaced. This can cause refrigerant to leak out of the system and it is loose. The evaporator coil also has debris buildup and a level one cleaning will help remove debris and have better efficiency. System number 2: the capacitor is outside factory range. I highly suggest replacement to help prevent premature breakdown. Both systems have calcified drains. Adrian salt treatment will help prevent a clogged drain. Completed the following repairs. Replaced Schrader core on system number one high side once replaced insured. Freon levels were within. Normal range completed evaporator clean in place on the garage. Air handler completed drain solve on number two. I n

Called out today to complete a quad repair on an indoor air handling unit evaporator coil. Coil needs to be replaced. Pumps down all refrigerant to the outdoor unit and cut the evaporator coil out of the air handling unit. Cut drain lines and copper piping. Install the new evaporator coil/TXV to factory specifications. Tied in the systems, suction and discharge copper lines, rebuilt systems, primary condensate, drain line, and started the system in the cooling mode. Notice the system was extremely low on refrigerant. Added 5 pounds R410a to the system to get pressures within range factory specifications. Completed full system inspection, verified functions in both heating and cooling modes at indoor and outdoor units. At this time the system is producing a 21° delta T in the cooling mode, and the system was producing 94° in heating mode. Cleared the condensate drain line with nitrogen to ensure the drain line can drain properly while operating in the cooling mode. This drain li

Upon arrival to scheduled multi system maintenance (2) I was shown to a conventional split system with an A/H unit located in the upstairs closet space. Mini split A/H located in the downstairs bedroom. Paul panel doors to inspect all electrical components connections, collect electrical readings off all indoor components, pole, and clean filters or replace with new, and inspect the evaporator coils for cleanliness. Evaporator coils could use cleanings at this time. There’s debris buildup on the conventional systems evaporator coil, as well as the mini split system evaporator coil. All electrical components connections are secure and all readings are running within range of factory specifications. There is significant biological growth building up on the conventional systems, evaporator coil. The system is equipped with a pure air X UV light system that is located in the supply Plenum. I’m highly recommending, installing a secondary UV light on the inside the cabinet to ensure all

Repair cannot be completed due to the non-availability of the evaporator coil for the unit per representative from Johnstone. The air handler was designed for a vertical application and therefore the coil that is the OEM replacement for the air handler does not come with a drip tray which is needed for a horizontal application . I advise the customer the two options we would have available to get his system back up an operational would be either to replace the AirHandler or replace the entire system. Customer agreed to speak with a Comfort Advisor to get estimates and quotes for either option. Repair is put on hold due to lower part of the drain pan needed to complete repair. After further developments in this quoter repair, we were sent in correct equipment to be able to complete the job. The drain pan that was sent out to match the new coil that was supposed to go in. The air handler does not fit in its place. Spoke with Drew at the distributor and found out all information give
