Everything mastic sealed new 2 1/2 ton straight cool unit on existing pad tie down four corners hook up 214 inch one supply one return mastic two unit put new disconnect on wall with six wire Going to disconnect six wire going from disconnect new low-voltage wire from thermostat to package unit to unit drain line with P-trap coming off unit unit is draining. Completed full maintenance on a package unit Checked all wiring and components Tested refrigerant levels, and temperature Tested capacitor Tested fan and compressor amps Hose down condenser coil Vacuum and flush condensate line Sprayed Evap coil with cleaner and hose it down Checked filter’s Unit is up and operating at this time Unit has about a 26° temperature split. Unit has no super heat and an OK sub cooling. This is gonna allow liquid. Refrigerant to damage that compressor overtime. It is not the coils being dirty or plugged filters that is causing it so I recommend getting a service call so someone can check it out and diagnose it further. Unit is operating great right now but overtime that compressor is going to get damaged. All electrical components are still good. Just give us a call if you want to schedule a service call. If a service call does happen have the tech call me for any questions.
11 years old The condenser coil is in very poor condition. It needs to be replaced. We have sent a Comfort Advisor.
Customer said that was leaking in the ceiling. Drainpan was full of water flushed drainline but it was dry. Found out that p trap fell and that’s why water was backed up. And float switch was bad too so it didn’t stop the water. Roved water from drainpan, flushed drainline with water , replaced float switch and kicked on the unit.
Got called out because unit wasn’t blowing cold air Upon arrival the units suction line was completely frozen from air handler to condenser. We will need to come back later today after it thaws out Came back and everything was thawed out. Refrigerant levels were very low. Suction line was at 100 psi so it was causing that refrigerant line to freeze up. With that low of a pressure there’s gotta be a leak in the evaporator coil. With this kind of unit it’s gonna be really hard to find parts for it. And with this old of a unit you are much better off replacing the unit to get a new one under warranty. It’s not worth it paying 4 grand on a 12 year old unit. Chris is on the way to give you an estimate.
Arrived to find system showing fault code at thermostat for fan motor. Condenser will run but fan will not come on. Tried bypassing the board fan would still not run. Blower motor needs to be replaced. Customer has a parts and labor warranty.
As I arrived, the homeowner met me at the door I walked inside and it was pretty hot. I went outside to the outside condenser. I noticed that it was running, but the condenser fan motor wasn’t. I put my hands on top of the motor and it was extremely hot to touch. I turned off the disconnect stop any further damage to the r 22 system, and I highly highly recommend replacement After installing a new capacitor, the system turned back on. I took amp draws and checked all voltage and connection of the unit. I talked to the homeowner about a maintenance program. He’s going to look at his pamphlets from his other install and give us a call back. The system is on his way out. Homeowner is aware as of today. We do have it up and running. I highly recommend replacement. Before any major repair. Condensing coil needs a cleaning Homeowner declined maintenance agreement at this time This unit is on its last life. There still could be damaged to the condenser motor running, but not movin
Upon arrival meet customer at the package unit. He opened the unit and said couldn’t figure it out why unit was cooling. After finishing diagnosing found out that blower wasn’t kicking on . Checked the wiring and found the L connected at t4 which is wrong and it wasn’t getting power . Reconnected the wires and fan came on. Blower fan was really dirty and the pressures on head side were high at 420 post and was making compressor work hard. Customer need to clean blower wheel and condenser coil for unit to operate better or otherwise it will damage the compressor. Customer would like to schedule an appointment for cleaning . Pls call him back.
New thermostat, re-install UV system in new air handler, replace supply and return duct plenums and seal all connections with mastic to prevent future air leaks, replace safety pan and rods and brackets, install two new float switches one in pan and one in the secondary, flush and pressure test copper line set, repair if necessary, install new filter drier, attic has attic light already, install new heat pump outside with code approved anchors and brackets, new insulation on copper outside, reuse disconnect box outside, all permits and inspections are included and attention to detail is paramount. Need 10ft A frame ladder for air handler install.
Very low on Freon R22 18 years old We sent a comfort advisor here around 5:00 p.m.
Customer complained that unit is blowing warm air. After finishing diagnosis found out that capacitor was dead . Also unit is 24 years old and compressor is really hard . Replaced capacitor 30/5 so customer have ac for now but he needs to get a new unit. Customer want to see a comfort advisor tomorrow any time. Call him before we send somebody there
Checked all major components on both units: Freon levels compressor , fan motor , capacitor, cleaned coils,, flushed drain lines,, replaced filters. Based on readings compressor on unit #2 is working hard and is noisy also the capacitor is reading lower that is rated . Recommend compressor overhaul kit to make compressor work smoother and extend compressor life. Also the capacitor for unit #1 is rusty and it creates resistance on electricity flow and need to be replaced too. Other than than everything looks good. Customer declined all the repairs for now .
