Thorough Explanation and Professional, Expert Sevice

We have a high level of PFAS in our well, per results from a test done by the Navy. While we wait to have them alleviate this situation by hooking us up to public water, we felt the need to do something in the meantime. Hopefully, we’re not going to wait years having to use the bottled water provided by the Navy. The owner of BLUE HERON, as well as another gentleman, gave us a thorough explanation of our options. We chose to go with a resin-based system, based on their explanation and my research. One of their technicians, Ryan, and his assistant (I forget his name…old age…very professional) came out this morning. Ryan was personal, professional, and knowledgeable. He explained other options and, based on his expertise, we decided to stay with the resin system. We’ll know our results in a week. Since we don’t know the results yet, I’ll update. Terrific company to deal with! The Kellys

Install a two tank PFOS reduction system with a total of 2 cubic feet of 110 reduction resin distributed equally in to mineral tanks. Passive in/out Clack valves with by-pass valves are included. Re-bed existing carbon system. Take a new tank, bed and media. The tanks are installed in sequence and we advise annual water testing for the inclusion. When the results become elevated the resin must be replaced. The replacement interval is dependent on the amount of contaminant being removed and the amount of water that flows through the system.

Install a regenerative/backwashing Clack water softener with bypass valves and 80/20 calcite-Corosex mix. 2.5 Cubic feet. Install an 8 GPM ATS-GDS UV sterilization light system with a required 2 x 10 sediment filter. Clack products have a five year manufacturers warranty. Neutralizers use sacrificial media and based on the amount of water used the media requires replenishment. The typical service interval is annually. ATS/GDS UV systems have a limited one year warranty and bulbs require annual replacement. The quartz sleeve should be replaced every two years or as required. For economy, both systems can be serviced on one service call going forward. Our workmanship is warrantied for 90 days and we have a no questions asked call back policy. When the UV pre-filter is installed a small amount of chlorine will be added to sterilize the post UV plumbing.
