We started up the well manager system and got everything up to pressure. The well pump is not delivering water. The well is currently dry. The well manager is set to collect .5 gpm. I closed the valve from the well to give it time to replenish.
Took a bunch of pictures and a video of their strains in the closet. He does not have enough room for all the equipment to fit. It’s gonna be problematic for our backwash line to go to the sump pump because the sump pumps under the house in a crawlspace he was thinking about extending the closet where the pressure switch and control box are now But we’re gonna have to look over the pictures and come up with a game plan.
The well is being over harvested. I instructed her to primarily use the main house.

Replace 1.5 HP well pump 3w 230V set at ~550' and to be determined. Replace 540' of well pipe with schedule 120. Inspect pipe and wire when the existing pump is extracted and advise. Based on the field notes the down well pipe is a combination of galvanized pipe and PVC and set at 650' +/-. If it is schedule 80 PVC married to galvanized pipe there is a strong possibility that the PVC pipe and couplings have deteriorated with age and are leaking water back into the well. In an ideal world all of the pipe should be galvanized at this depth and PVC should be limited to a pump set depth of ~500'. Schedule 80 PVC is no longer an industry standard for setting of well pumps and it is replaced with schedule 120. Given the age of the pump, and with an average pump life expectancy of 12 to 15 years we may find that the well pump is not working as intended and requires replacement. Install a 2Hp 5 GPM well pumping system with 777' of 1" galvanized t/c well pipe, 780' of #8/3 flat jacket wire, 2HP Pentek 230v 3 phase well pump motor, 2HP 39 stage pump end, pitless adapter, and associated fittings. Install a Pentek PID20 variable frequency drive for constant pressure pump control and single to three phase conversion. Trench for lateral lines and install ~100 linear feet of new well pipe and wire conduit with 10/3 wire. Backfill and rake with restoration the home owners responsibility. Install a vermin proof (2) piece well cap. Install a Well Watcher well management system with a 1 HP booster pump, (2) 210 gallon storage tanks and an electronically metered control board for continuous well water harvesting.
Replace existing water softener with a Clack metered 48,000 grain unit, WS1 filter digital filter valve, bypass valves and JG fittings. Install a two tank PFOS reduction system with (2) cubic feet of HR 110 resin and bypass valves. Install a 2.5 Cubic foot whole house carbon regenerative filtration system with an air injection filter valve, bypass valves and JG fittings.
Install a 48,000 grain metered Clack water softener with bypass valves, brine tank and associated fittings. Install a 2 x 10 sediment filter housing with a bracket, insert and filter wrench. Remove and dispose of the old water softener. Clack products are warrantied for five years from the manufacturer and our workmanship is warrantied for 90 days.
Drill a new 300' 6" potable water well with 50' of 6" grouted steel casing. Install a 3/4 HP 7 GPM well pump with new 12/3 flat jacket wire and 1" poly pipe. wire and pipe priced on a linear foot basis.
