Came out to call for customer concern about a noise with the system. Customer stated that we were out recently for an issue and previous tech had discussed repair vs replacement with customer, but customer didn’t receive pricing on part, and now she notices a noise that they had talked about, and it seems to be louder sometimes, and it wasn’t making that much noise when we came out the first time. She just wanted reassurance on what needed to be done. Checked system over and did find the inducer motor making noise, and it’s going to fail. I told her it’s not a matter of if, but when. Customer wanted pricing on the inducer motor and will look over her options. Gave her 30 day price guarantee and would be happy to discuss further on replacement when she is ready.

Jake Kring. 01-20-25. I arrived for a club member system not working at times. I spoke with the homeowner and she explained that the system will stop running then she pulls the batteries out of the thermostat then it eventually comes on and heats. I inspected the system located in the attic and found the system to be running and heating. I checked the systems static pressure and found it to be running at a 0.67 IWC and the temperature rise to be at 73 deg and the manufacturer range is between 35/65 deg. I checked the system’s heat exchanger and found it to have excessive heat stress but no fractures at this time. I did find the induced draft motor to grind when it starts up and when it stops. I did not find any issues with the systems controls at this time. The system did not fault out for any reason at this time. I suspect that the induced draft motor is straining with the lower temperatures and the longer run times causing the system to shut off due to pressure switches not making co

01NOV2024 Jason Brown Arrived for silver club no heat. Spoke with homeowner about the systems performance. The AC went out awhile ago, and I didn’t need it anymore so I didn’t do anything about it. Now I need to use the heater and it’s not functioning either. Inspected equipment found fuse blown at furnace. Removed all wiring and checked continuity between r and all wires. Inspected AC, found contactor shorted to ground. Spoke with homeowner about my findings. We would like to move forward with repairs, but need a payment plan. We decided on a 3 month payment plan for repairs. Replaced contactor, and fuse at furnace. Checked all connections and components then cycled system in all stages. System heats and cools, however this equipment is getting near its end of life, I recommend preparing for replacement soon.

Jake Kring. 09-30-24. I arrived for a blue member summer tune up. I was here 4 months ago to rep the contactor and capacitor. At that time I recommended to replace the condenser fan motor. We ended up replacing the condenser fan motor last month and cleaned the system at that time. I inspected the system today and found the system to be a little dirty. I cleaned the condenser off and checked all electric component in the condensation and found no issues. I then inspected the indoor system and found the main and primary drain line to be tied in together and drain is at the water heater. I made sure the drain line was clear and that all the components were running in the furnace. I spoke with the homeowner about renewing his club maintenance plan and he wants to hold off for now. We briefly discussed replacing the system and they were planning to replace the system and sign back up on a club plan at the same time. I replaced all filter and left the system running per the homeowners therm

Jake K. I arrived for a previous customer no cool call. I spoke with the no and he explained that I was out last time and recommended to rep the condenser fan motor and only wants to do what is needed to get the system running at this time and replace the system when he retires soon. We inspected the system and I found the condenser fan motor to be pulling high amps and not spinning very fast. We discussed the repair and we decided to replace the condenser fan motor at this time. I removed the old motor and installed a new condenser fan motor and capacitor. Once the system was running we checked its operation and found the system to be running fine but will take some time for the system to catch up. We are planning on replacing the system in about 3-4 months.

Jake Kring. 05-26-24. I arrived for a club member no cool call. I spoke with the homeowner and found that the system is not coming on at the outdoor unit. I inspected the system and found the unit to be locked out on high pressure and the plug for the condenser fan motor that selects the fan rotation direction is unplugged. I checked all electrical components and found the hard start kit to have failed and the capacitor for the fan to be extremely weak. We decided to tray a capacitor and see if the fan will cycle on. Once the capacitor was on and the condenser fan motor came on the system has a lot of vibration in the unit and this is what caused the plug to come apart. I explained that we can replace the capacitor today but I would recommend to get a new blade in and replace the condenser fan motor due to its high amp draw. We discussed the universal motor and that it to will have a plug that will select the spin direction. The homeowner wants to get a OEM motor to not have the plug o

22JAN2024 Jason Brown Arrived for silver club not heating well. Spoke with homeowner about the systems performance. It’s working well, but sometimes it will stop before reaching the setpoint. Homeowner showed me to the thermostat and attic access. Setup ladder and cycled equipment into heating at the thermostat. Removed 14x30 filter. Removed coil door, and opened all furnace cabinets. Removed blower motor. Inspected heat exchanger and evap coil. Brushed out blower wheel and reinstalled assembly. Check capacitor, clean flame sensor. Ohm HSI and cycle heating. Check gas pressure and heat rise. Gas pressure was at 3.78 with a 57 degree heat rise. Adjusted gas pressure back within manufacture specs and retested heat rise. 47 degrees across furnace. System is heating to the best of its abilities at this time. Replaced filter.

Blue shield club heating maintenance. Joe(JC)Ritchal 11/28/2023 Performed full system evaluation and safety inspection. I arrive from the customers annual fall service. The customer didn’t have any questions but said that we would not be able to get to the furnace due to a broken brace in the attic. He did not want us attempting to go across state. We will continue with the maintenance whenever the customer has us out again.

Came out to call for a no cool on a system from 1999. Customer stated that we had serviced it a few months ago and was running okay until today. Customer noticed that the temperature in the home was rising, and the outside unit was operating. I checked the system over and found the contactor was deteriorated on one side. Asked customer about power surges or anything like that, and customer couldn’t recall anything recent. The contactor was in pretty rough shape and I couldn’t determine if it was due to surge or the heat. Discussed with customer about repair needed and also about the condition of the system. Customer wanted to get system operational, so I installed a new contactor in AC system and washed condenser coil. Told customer that we could turn it back on, so I can check operation and determine if anything else is damaged. Customer turned AC back on and unit cycled on with no issues. Amps, temperatures and pressures were still within range. I did make customer aware that he was

Sam J - derived for summer service on a blue club member. Customer explained that the pool down staircase to the attic is damaged in a way that it cannot be climbed on or moved. He suggested to not worry about the indoor unit unless there was an issue. Replaced all the filters while testing. The thermostat operation then began servicing the system. Shut the power off to the condensing unit and clean the coil and also check the capacitor. Capacitor was weak and had been replaced previously due to the fact that the fan and compressor capacitor’s had been separated overtime. Customer approved replacing the bad capacitor which I did. Powered up unit and check the start up amperage of the compressor and condenser fan motor as well as run load amperage. Attached gauges and temperature probes to calculate superheat and sub cooling values. System is charged an operating to the manufacturer specifications. Spoke with homeowner and advised him on the status of the system, including

I arrive for a silver membership no cool call. I first spoke with the homeowner and found that they have turned the system off day before when they were not home. I first inspected the condenser and checked all electric components in the system. I then inspect the indoor system located in the attic of the the masters bedroom. I inspected the evaporator and all electrical components in the furnace. I checked the system temperature drop across the furnaces and evaporator coil. I check the systems refegerant charge and found the system to be running at 9.8deg superheat and the system called for 10 deg superheat. I cycled the system on and off and found no issues with this system at this time. I do recommend to add or increase the return duct to help recirculate air in that section on the home. I recommend to give the systems some time to cool the masters bedroom area down. I found no issues with this system at this time. If you have any problems please contact us and we will be right out
