Upon arrival the 16 seer Goodman split system was not cooling due to a locked rotor 04 error code reset code and reset power checked amps pressures etc. system is working in both stages correctly at this time possible intermittent board failure
Upon arrival found the the thermostat wire going to the condenser was badly burnt. Recommended on replacing the thermostat wire, the contactor due to it being pitted and burnt, the fuse in the air handler, and the transformer because it had failed. We moved forward on all repairs. Not interested in the membership at this time because they are waiting for the other membership they have to expire from another company. Left system in good working order.
Uppon my arrival found the dual capacitor has failed on the compressor side. It was not allowing the compressor to start up. I replaced the capacitor with a warranty capacitor 40/5 mfd. Performed start up procedures and cleared the drain line with CV oil cleaner and water. I ran the unit for about 20 minutes to make sure it was all working properly. I loaded my pictures to service titan and left the system in proper working condition. I would recommend installing a surge protector on this unit to help protect the control board and electrical components.
Cycled and inspected equipment. Found zone board stuck in heat. Customer approved to bypass control board. Bypassed control board. Cycled heating and cooling. Left system in good working order. This is for us to bypass the zone board to get system working.
customer wanted to adjust fan speed on 1 unit, fan motor continuously running on 1 unit, and customer wanted a new thermostat installed. Found air handler not set up on cool cloud causing fan motor to run at a low speed. Programmed cool cloud. Found motor running continuously due to zone board fan relay stuck closed. Bypassed fan relay on zone board. Installed a new customer supplied thermostat. Left systems in good working order. Spoke to customer about maintenance agreement for 4 systems and customer declined at this time. I performed a maintenance on two systems. I checked pressures, electrical components and flushed drain lines and cleaned sensors on condensate pumps. I added 3 lbs of 410a to the Trane system on right side. I replaced run capacitors on both systems. They had weak mfd readings. We need to send Corey to give an estimate on ductwork. The office will reach out. We need to locate and give a quote on uv light bulb.
Found water leaking due to clogged drain line. Cleared drain line. Checked operation. Left system in good working order
Paul had two out of four systems replaced. The system in the kitchen area is a two zone . The person that installed the system wired directly to air handler. The dampers are up in the attic. This is a two person job to label and figure out. Itâ€™s about a 1/2 day or so on this system. The air handler is also running on low speed. Once we figure out if the zone system is functional or not Paul will decide if he wants to keep the zoning or bypass and seal off dampers. Most of the wires are 4 wire. You will need a thermostat that operates with batteries.. He will like a quote on installing hurricane straps on the two new condensers. The office put quote together on figuring out what is going on/ labeling. Once we figure out we will go over the other options.. There is a quote on installing each thermostat and programming.
