Customer States: She had a new fridge installed in the kitchen, installers were unable to attach new fridge to existing water line. Technician Notes: Current ice maker line is soft copper and runs from underneath kitchen sink, fishes through cabinetry until it reaches the backside of the fridge. There is a saddle valve on a 1/2” copper line underneath the sink. Resolution: We will either need a 15ft steel braided ice maker line and run in the same way through the cabinetry after removing and reworking the saddle valve/ 1/2” copper on the cold side or run 1/2” PEX from under kitchen sink behind fridge into an ice maker box.
