CUSTOMER STATED: The toilet was constantly running. TECHNICIAN NOTES: Upon inspection I found that this is a Briggs elongated toilet located in the upstairs powder bathroom, and is 20 years of age. I found that the fill valve has failed along with the flapper, and they will both need to be replaced. I recommend that due to the age of this toilet, and the rust build up that the home owner have the whole toilet replaced versus just doing band aid repairs. The home owner elected to go through warranty for repairs. RESOLUTION/RECOMMENDATIONS:I was able to successfully remove existing failed fill valve, and flapper with no issues. I successfully installed new fill valve, and flapper as well with no issues or leaks.
