Any questions I had Hunter had an answer for. Great guy, promote above peers
Hunter was courteous and knowledgeable. He got right to work and did a good job.
Tech arrived promptly. Received courtesy call and text. His thorough service of the unit gives me a good outlook on controlling this heat.
Justin was very helpful and straightforward about the major repair I needed on the AC. He was also early and notified me ahead of time. Great work!
Dallas was very professional and personable. Excellent communication skills.
Air Condition was freezing over. No matter what I don’t to fix it. It still would freeze over. Contacted Smiths AC on Sunday morning around 9am. Technician was here an hour later. He was able to give my system a deep clean on the inside. No issues now, Dylan worked his magic and got my house cool again.
Very theral, inspected every part of the ac and heating system
I was called for an emergency HVAC repair when the system stopped heating in the middle of a cold front. After quickly diagnosing the issue, I found a malfunctioning igniter that was preventing the furnace from starting. I replaced the igniter, checked the gas flow, and verified the thermostat was set correctly. Once the system was tested and running smoothly, the home was quickly restored to a comfortable temperature, ensuring reliable heating during the emergency.
Completed tune-up on Goodman GMVM97 furnace. Tested igniter resistance (40Ω), verified inducer motor RPM (3450), inspected heat exchanger with borescope (no cracks), and measured gas pressure (3.4"WC). Cleaned flame sensor, restored 2.8μA signal. ECM blower motor performing at optimal CFM. System now operating at 96.5% AFUE with proper static pressure (0.4"WC).
Replaced an outdated 3-ton Goodman AC unit. The homeowner upgraded to a variable-speed unit for better comfort and lower energy costs. Also installed a smart thermostat for improved climate control.
Responded to emergency call for Trane XR17 system with water damage in ceiling. Diagnosed primary condensate line completely blocked with algae buildup, secondary drain pan overflowing. Cleared obstruction using compressed nitrogen at 100 psi, flushed with antimicrobial solution. Installed cleanout access and float switch safety cutoff to prevent future issues. Also corrected improper drain slope (was 1/16" per foot, now 1/4" per foot). Added condensate tablets to inhibit future biological growth. System now draining properly with zero moisture issues.
Performed deep cleaning on a severely neglected Goodman system today. Condenser coil was 90% blocked with debris, causing head pressure of 450+ psi! Used pressure washer with biodegradable degreaser to restore proper airflow. Also cleaned blower wheel that had 1/4" of accumulated dust affecting CFM output. System now pulling proper amperage and maintaining desired temperature setpoint. Regular maintenance prevents these issues!
I built a custom structure for a customer to protect their furnace from harsh weather conditions. After assessing the furnace’s location, I designed and constructed a weather-resistant enclosure that would shield the unit from rain, snow, and extreme temperatures, which could potentially cause damage or reduce its efficiency. Using durable materials, I ensured the structure was properly ventilated to allow for adequate airflow and prevent overheating while still offering full protection from the elements. The design also included a roof to prevent water buildup and side panels to shield against wind and debris. Once the structure was complete, I carefully installed it around the furnace, making sure it was secure and that the system had easy access for future maintenance. The customer was pleased with the result, as it provided added protection for their equipment, ensuring its longevity and continued efficient operation in all weather conditions.
