Indoor Air Quality Service: Arrived at the client’s home to install a new Lennox PureAir whole-home air filtration system. Inspected the existing HVAC setup and determined optimal placement for the new unit within the return air duct. Installed the system, connected it to the HVAC controls, and verified proper electrical and airflow integration. Tested the system to ensure effective filtration and clean air delivery throughout the home.
The AC system was not cooling properly. We diagnosed the issue, made necessary repairs, and restored the system to full cooling capacity to ensure the home remains comfortable and energy-efficient.
Troubleshot an AC system that was running non-stop. Found undersized unit for square footage and attic temps contributing to long runtimes. Documented findings and reviewed next steps with homeowner.
Customer reported unusually loud operation from their AC unit. Upon inspection, found the condenser fan motor bearings were worn and causing excessive noise. Checked blade alignment and mounting hardware — no signs of damage. Replaced the fan motor with an OEM part and verified decibel levels post-repair. Also tightened all panel screws and checked compressor isolation mounts. System is now running smoothly and much quieter. Recommended follow-up in 6 months to monitor motor performance and overall system noise.
Diagnosing Carrier Performance 96 air conditioning system with short cycling problems. High pressure cutout switch triggering due to dirty condenser coil restricting airflow. Cleaned coils thoroughly using specialized coil cleaner and verified proper refrigerant pressures. Tested system operation through multiple cooling cycles and confirmed stable operation.
Just finished servicing a 3-ton variable-speed heat pump system. Recharged refrigerant to factory specs, cleaned coils, checked static pressure, and verified proper airflow. System's running at peak efficiency with a 20 SEER rating. Customer’s airflow and humidity levels are spot on now.
Troubleshot a Trane heat pump in Washington, LA that wasn’t cooling. Found a faulty defrost control board causing the system to stay in heat mode. Replaced the board and tested system operation.
Diagnosed and repaired a Lennox XC25 system with intermittent communication errors today. Found corroded low-voltage connections at the condenser causing improper communication between thermostat and control board. Cleaned terminals, applied dielectric grease, and re-terminated connections. Also replaced failing pressure transducer that was causing erratic superheat readings. System now communicating properly with indoor air handler. Ran full diagnostic tests through iComfort S30 interface - all parameters now within specification. Another happy customer in Baton Rouge!
Completed preventive maintenance on a 5-ton Carrier Infinity system with variable-speed compressor. Inspected contactors for pitting, measured capacitor microfarads (within 6% of rating), and verified refrigerant pressures (410A at 125/425 psi). Cleaned condenser coils with enzymatic cleaner, removing significant pollen buildup. Checked superheat (12°F) and subcooling (11°F) - both optimal. Calibrated TXV and verified proper delta-T across evaporator. Customer's system is now running at peak efficiency.
