Furnace Maintenance Service: During a scheduled tune-up, I inspected the heat exchanger for cracks, cleaned the burners, replaced a heavily loaded air filter, and checked the blower motor amperage. After lubricating moving parts and verifying safety switch operation, the furnace was running efficiently and safely for the season.
Checked system. Found the condenser was plugged. Washed the condenser coil. Started and checked the pressures. System is properly charged. The compressor is drawing 4.3 amps. Discharge air is 56*f. When the condenser coil was plugged, the compressor was possibly going off on thermal overload. System is operating properly.
