Upon arrival unit was turned off. Customer stated the unit was producing a lot of water from the air handler. Inspected evap coil and the air filter. Evap coil was clean but air filter was dirty. Replaced the air filter with a customer supplied one. Turned unit on and both indoor and outdoor units turned on. Checked the capacitor and it was good. Checked refrigerant levels and found the system was low on refrigerant. After getting customer authorization we added 1 lb 13 oz R22 to the system bringing the subcooling from 1 up to 10 which is within manufacturer’s specifications. Unit is working properly. Took pictures and measurements for a replacement quote.

Just finished up for the day after a maintenance call. Inspected a Lennox Merit Series furnace and AC system. Checked the blower motor, cleaned the flame sensor (important even in spring!), and verified proper airflow. Regular preventative maintenance can help avoid unexpected system failures.

Completed a repair on a Rheem Classic Series AC unit. The homeowner reported warm air. Found and fixed a refrigerant leak at a Schrader valve, then recharged the system. Maintaining the correct refrigerant charge is vital for effective cooling.

Performed a duct system inspection and airflow balancing for a Trane S9V2 furnace in Newington. Adjusted manual dampers, sealed minor leaks with mastic sealant, and ensured proper return airflow. Verified static pressure readings for efficiency. The system now provides even heating and cooling throughout the home, improving overall comfort.

Performed routine maintenance on a Lennox gas furnace and discovered a faulty inducer motor. Replaced the motor using an OEM part, cleaned the burners, and inspected the heat exchanger for cracks. Tested the high-limit switches and checked the blower assembly for proper airflow. After the repair and maintenance, verified system performance through multiple heating cycles to ensure safe, efficient operation throughout the winter.

This morning, I responded to a call in Newington, CT about a furnace that was not working. When I arrived, the burner was already running. Oil was found in the tuyere and on the assembly as a result of the nozzle not spraying properly. I replaced the nozzle and the system is running appropriately.
