Awesome service and price!

X-treme Temp has been serving my house for many years. They are very professional and always provide awesome work. Before the scheduled time, I would receive notification that technicians are coming. After technicians(Andrew and Larry) arrive on time, they ask us if we have any questions. They wear booties to enter my house. During covid, they wear masks to make customers feel safe. Not only Andrew and Larry did the awesome service, they also found out a hidden controller which we could not find to turn on the humidifier. On top of that, they took time to answer our questions patiently. After the service, I received a receipt by email. I would strongly recommend this company to friends.

When we had a problem with one zone of our heating system, X-Treme Temp worked with the problem until it was solved. We are most appreciative.

Very professional and knowledgeable.

Dyllan and John from X-treme just left after completing an evaporator coil replacement. I was extremely (no pun intended) impressed with their professionalism, cleanliness and knowledge. I've found it rare to experience this level of service and I tend to be a hard marker. Cost: The cost was fair. Its a little difficult in this economic market to really know gauge the cost. However I will say that I will without hesitation call on X-treme for any A/C issues. I also plan on using them for my heating as well.

First Time New Customer with NON Functional A/C

We are a new customer with X-Treme. Our A/C had no cooling capability. The technician (Andrew) arrived on time, was very professional. He checked the complete system for general condition. Our system clearly has a leak somewhere. He injected a UV tracer dye into the system and added refrigerant. We are happy we are getting cold air again but we have to wait for the dye to leak out enough to detect the leak. So we are not over but have a good start. I didn't rate the cost as I have no idea what is low or high. My guess the price was fair (as in reasonable).

Shut off the water and drained. Replaced the anode rods. Filled the system and checked the fittings for leaks and purged the air. After the tank was full there was a sound then hissing. Water started to come from the top of the tank. Checked and found a rust spot on the top of the tank next to the flue and that is where the water is coming from. The water heater needs to be replaced.

Water was dripping from the pressure relief valve. Checked the system and found water on the air side of the extrol tank. The extrol tank is bad and needs to be replaced. Replaced the tank and the pressure relief valve. Purged all the zones. (When the pressure relief valve opens, most of the time it does not reseat and stop dripping). Started and checked the operation of all zones.

Checked Heat Pump system. System turns on properly. Checked pressures. 541psi hi side, 109psi lo side. The chart inside the unit calls for the system to be running at approximately 325psi hi/ 93psi lo at 40* outside temp. The system is overcharged. Recovered 1 lb 13 oz R-410a from the system. Replace the air filter, 18x20x1. The system is operating properly at this time. With the higher pressure, the compressor was operating at a higher temperature and could have shut off on thermal overload. With the compressor off, the thermostat has to drop several degrees before the heat strip turns on.

Performed a heating pm on (2) oil furnaces and (1) oil water heater. Brushed and vacuumed. Replaced the oil filter, nozzles and strainers. Checked the air filters - they still look ok. Started and checked the safeties. Performed a combustion test. System is operating properly. While replacing the oil filter, notice the filter was dirty and had a few drops of water in the bottom of the canister. Recommend adding an additive to the tank to help keep the oil clean. Added a bottle of Hot Shot oil additive to the tank. The water heater is 10 yrs old. Recommend replacing the anode rods in the tank.

Checked the system. When the 2nd fl thermostat is calling the zone damper was closed. Freed the damper and opened and closed several times with the thermostat. The zone damper is operating at this time but may stick in the closed position in the future. Recommend replacing the zone damper. The zone panel is old. Recommend replacing the zone panel, dampers and thermostats.

Checked the first floor furnace, started it and it did not light. Checked the oil flow which was clear and strong. Checked the transformer and nozzle assembly. There was oil dripping into the blast tube. Replaced the nozzle and the burner started properly. Cycled several times. Also checked the nozzle on the water heater. The nozzle assembly was dirty. Cleaned and replaced the nozzle. Started and tested. Customer had some work done in the furnace room and there is a lot of dust which could contribute to plugging a nozzle.

Performed a heating pm on an oil boiler. Brushed and vacuumed. Replaced the oil filter, nozzle and strainer. Started and checked the safeties. Performed a combustion test. System is operating properly. Several of the circulator gaskets have corrosion on them from previous leaks. Recommend replacing the gaskets. The oil on the floor under the tank appears to be old from when the tank may have been overfilled. There are streaks down the side of the tank from when it leaked out of the threads. Did not see any new leaks.

Water was leaking from the pressure relief valve. Had the customer turn all the thermostats on and checked the system. While the burner and circulators were on, the pressure was maintaining between 10-15 psi. The extrol tank is empty and the pressure relief was dripping. There is also some corrosion on the hi vent. Recommend replacing the pressure relief and hi vent. Drained the pressure from the system. Replaced the pressure relief valve and the hi vent. Filled and purged the boiler. Started and tested. The pressure is staying between 15-20 psi. The system is operating properly
