Excellent, Honest Service

When Mike came out to our house and did a service on our furnace he found that the blower was bad. He had the part on his truck and had our furnace working like new again in no time at all. It's a pleasure to work with a great company like Hurlburt's and people like Mike. Thanks! I'm going to tell all my friends and family about the great experience I had.

Responded to service call for previously diagnosed part installation, but determined the supplied part was not the source of the issue. Inspection revealed a faulty control board and identified small cracks in the heat exchanger near press joints, documented with photos. Due to the furnace's age (approximately 18 years) and the need for both heat exchanger and control board replacement, recommended customer consult with an advisor regarding replacement options.

Performed a comprehensive inspection and safety check on the 2-year-old gas furnace as required by state regulations. Verified heat exchanger integrity, proper venting, burner functionality, and confirmed zero carbon monoxide readings. Repaired a minor condensate trap leak by disassembling and retightening components. Furnace passed all operational parameters and is in excellent condition. Inspection documentation has been completed and will be provided via email.

Responded to commercial no-heat call for heater in garage building. Diagnosed issue with blown fuse on circuit board; inspected all wiring connections which appeared intact. Possible power surge may have caused initial fuse failure. Successfully restored heater operation, though will monitor for potential recurring electrical issues.

Performed comprehensive maintenance on two heating systems: 2-year-old indoor forced air furnace and 16-year-old outdoor central wood boiler. Identified and repaired minor gas leak on low pressure cut off switch of indoor furnace by tightening connection. Replaced MERV 16 Carbon Clean filter (16"x25"x5") and verified proper operation of all furnace components. Inspected wood boiler including damper functionality and associated components, confirming all systems in good working order.

Responded to geothermal heating system failure. Diagnosed incorrect temperature settings on wrinkle control heat tank and system overpressurization. Corrected temperature settings, monitored system heat-up cycle and verified proper operation. Observed significant corrosion and mineral deposits on copper pipe assembly with evidence of moisture exposure and potential leakage at connection points.

Diagnosed 33-year-old furnace with no heat issue despite functioning fan. Inspection revealed failed inducer motor and deteriorated black boot connection to collector box, both showing significant age-related wear and corrosion. Due to obsolete components and overall condition, recommended system replacement; scheduled consultation with advisor for replacement options.

Performed maintenance service on two gas furnaces. The newer ICP unit (3 years old) is operating properly with no issues identified. The older Goodman unit (approximately 10 years old) has a noisy inducer motor and shows signs of deterioration on the heat exchanger. Provided recommendations for repairs and replacement options for the older unit, though customer elected to defer service at this time. Both furnaces remain operational.

Responded to no heat complaint on 5-year-old furnace that was shutting down after 15-20 seconds of operation. Diagnosed pressure switch issue with fault code indicating "pressure switch stuck." Upon testing, identified one of the dual pressure switches exhibiting slow response and dull sound when manually actuated. Replaced faulty dual pressure switches, restoring normal system operation. Unit should still be under parts warranty.
