Completed annual generator maintenance service on Honeywell backup power unit. Performed full tune-up including oil change, replacement of spark plugs, air filter, and oil filter. Reset all maintenance notifications, conducted operational testing with system responding properly, and verified control panel shows "READY TO RUN" status. Generator is now operating correctly and serviced for the upcoming year.
Responded to emergency water leak in basement bathroom ceiling caused by a toilet ring leak in the floor above. Discovered the toilet flange was positioned approximately 1" lower than the surrounding tile, creating a seal failure. Implemented temporary repair by installing two stacked wax rings to create proper seal height and prevent further water damage.
Responded to no heat call for Lennox LP furnace. Diagnosed non-functional ignitor and rusty burners preventing proper flame spread across heat exchanger. Recommended burner assembly replacement, which customer approved. Completed parts order form for new burners. Updated customer contact information in system.
Responded to a water leak incident involving basement flooding in several areas including laundry room, living room, bathroom, and hallway. Conducted comprehensive inspection and testing of water softener, iron mitigation system, toilets, sinks, and drainage system but could not recreate the leak. Determined potential causes may be septic drain field issues (water level rising above baffle) or possible groundwater infiltration during recent rainfall; recommended client contact septic service and landscaper for further evaluation.
Repaired damaged electrical box for septic system which had been struck by a lawn mower. Removed cracked PVC conduit that housed electrical wiring, then fabricated and installed new PVC components to rebuild the electrical box to proper specifications. System now functioning correctly with protective housing restored.
Performed comprehensive mini split deep cleaning service on a wall-mounted Fujitsu unit in commercial printing environment. System exhibited significant contamination due to industrial setting, requiring thorough cleaning of the head unit to restore proper operation. Recommended more frequent maintenance schedule given the high particulate environment.
Diagnosed 30+ year old furnace with no heat due to faulty thermocouple and leaking pilot assembly. Determined complete pilot assembly replacement is required to restore operation. Advised customer about system inefficiency with approximately 30% heat loss through chimney due to unit age, and placed parts order for new assembly.
Diagnosed 5-year-old Rheem electric water heater with complete failure due to tank rupture. Recommended full replacement of unit as repair not feasible. Also noted customer request to replace whole home water filter (CF-155358-43); discussed replacement options but deferred installation pending customer financing approval.
Performed annual maintenance on furnace in preparation for winter season. Completed comprehensive tune-up including flame sensor cleaning, electrical component testing with all readings within specifications, filter cleaning, and blower speed verification. Unit is operating properly with appropriate temperature output of 52°.
Responded to no heat call at residence with furnace completely non-operational. Diagnostic inspection revealed multiple critical component failures in aging heating system, including failed blower motor, compromised burners, defective inducer motor, and faulty igniter. While heat exchanger appears currently serviceable, extensive deterioration and corrosion were documented throughout the system. Due to the age of equipment and multiple component failures, recommended full system replacement rather than extensive repairs. Customer opted to schedule consultation for replacement options.
Diagnosed customer's "no heat" complaint on 10-15 year old furnace. Discovered seized inducer motor causing system to hum without producing heat. Removed inducer assembly to inspect for blockages, confirmed bearing failure was the root cause. Customer approved replacement of inducer motor to restore proper heating function.
Diagnosed furnace failure to produce heat that was making humming noise followed by clicking without blowing. Conducted gas pressure testing (inlet pressure 7.5" WC, outlet pressure 6.5" WC) and verified proper natural gas supply. Located obstruction in burner orifice (spiderweb), cleaned thoroughly, and verified proper operation post-repair. System now functioning correctly with normal flame pattern and heat production.
Completed 12-4 furnace tune-up on 45-year-old FRP system. Performed comprehensive electrical diagnostics on both interior and exterior components with all readings within specification. Verified proper unit operation with clean outdoor unit and appropriate temperature readings.
Diagnosed no heat issue on 10+ year old furnace with recent inducer replacement. Determined thermostat communication failure was causing system non-operation. Applied manual pressure to thermostat which temporarily restored function. Replaced aging thermostat with new T4 model to permanently resolve communication issues. Verified proper system operation after installation.
Responded to no-heat complaint on 8-year-old forced air furnace showing "tried to many times to fire" error code. Diagnosed plugged burners with rust buildup causing ignition failure. Replaced burners with new units carried on service vehicle, cleared condensate drains, and performed routine maintenance check on all components. System is now operating correctly. Advised customer to use only one filter in the 5-inch slot instead of the two that were installed.
