I was called to inspect an HVAC system that was freezing up and not cooling properly. Upon inspection, I found restricted airflow due to a clogged air filter and a dirty evaporator coil, which was causing the system to ice over. I replaced the filter, thoroughly cleaned the coil, and checked refrigerant levels to ensure they were within the correct range. After allowing the system to thaw and running a full test cycle, everything is now operating normally and providing consistent cooling without freezing.
