Visually inspected indoor evap coil and blower compartment Checked all electrical connections and safeties Checked volts and amps Visually inspected air filter Rinsed condenser coil Blew out drain line and poured water to ensure properly draining Tested condensate pump Checked refrigerant levels Checked capacitor Took temps While performing the maintenance we found the capacitor was very weak. It was rated at 45b5 and was reading 42/2. After getting customer authorization we replaced the capacitor. When starting and testing the unit we found the system was low on refrigerant. After getting customer authorization we added 1 lb R410A to the system bringing the subcooling from 1.5 up to 12.8 which is within manufacturer’s specifications. Recommend reassessing the refrigerant levels next year. While performing we found the installer used silver solder instead of braze at the refrigerant pipe connections. It is possible the refrigerant is leaking from there since silver solder is not
