I called the customer to get them on the schedule for the semi-annual fire suppression system maintenance. On arrival I did a quick walk through to make sure no visible damage was there. I then put the two systems into test mode. I let the customer know they were low on G510 and that I had a case on my truck. They wanted to get that. I did the testing and changed out the parts. Then I wrote a report and let the customer know if they needed anything else to let me know. I left my card with the maintenance director.
Installed new power supply and troubleshooted a ground fault trouble. Upon leaving system was operating as designed.
Customer called for a recharge of a fire extinguisher. Upon arrival I found that the Annual was due also so I talked to them and we decided to do this while I was there. I found that there were several that needed to be hydrotested and a couple that needed to have a 6 year maintenance. I completed this task and rehung all the fire extinguishers in their proper place. I let the customer know that this was to be done annually. I also let them know that I work frequently in their area and can stop by if they have any other needs.
Today I had a fire training class scheduled to help employees understand how to use and when to use a fire extinguisher. I explained the different types of fire extinguishers and when to use them. I also brought a fire pan for each employee to put a fire out with a fire extinguisher learning the PASS code. Each person did their training and I cleaned up and let them know if they needed another class I would be available.
I made the appointment with the customer and upon arrival I found that they needed to have (3) new fire extinguishers. I put in 1 10lb ABC, 1 5lb ABC and 1 Class K for the kitchen. The kitchen system was not due for inspection yet so I will get them when they are ready.
I completed an LPG leak test on this customers location.
Customer requested a 5 year inspection after receiving a quote on this service. Upon arrival I did the following: Put Fire system on test. Performed FDC pressure test. Drain down the wet system. Replace gauge on sprinkler riser. Perform 5 year internal inspections. Pull four sprinkler heads to send out for UL testing. Fill wet system back up. Take Fire System off test. Notified the customer that this inspection will be due again in 2030.
Customer requested a wet sprinkler inspection on the automatic fire system. I did a thorough inspection of the entire system, the heads and the riser. They were all in good working order.
Customer purchased the Ansul system and we hooked it up and got it running. System is working and in proper order.
