I did a cold call on this customer and it so happened that they needed to get some new fire extinguishers and signs. I sold them 2 new 5lb ABC fire extinguishers and a sign to let their customers know where the fire extinguisher was located. Customer was happy with the service and asked that we come back when they are due for service again.
ANNUAL DRY SPRINKLER INSPECTION W/ADD'L AUXILIARY DRAIN
I arrived on site and checked in. I proceeded to do a monthly fire extinguisher inspection. Checking each fire extinguisher's gauges, checking for obstruction in the hose and also marking the tag. I found several needed replaced on the walk through. I also found some had been used and needed to be recharged. I took care of them and got the customer current with working fire extinguishers. I finished the walkthrough and let them know the next date that I would be there next month.
Customer requested that we do the annual fire extinguisher inspection and the semi-annual fire suppression inspection. We went in and located all the fire extinguishers, decided the process that needed to be done on each fire extinguisher and completed that service. One Fire extinguisher needed to be hydrotested, got that extinguisher up to date. Then went on do the service and maintenance on the fire suppression system (Range Guard). I changed out the fusible links and tested the system. The filters need to be cleaned as soon as possible. Recommendation: To get your kitchen exhaust system & fan cleaned as soon as possible.
System had an accidental discharge (employee related). Drove to Brookings to put the system back on line so the location could be fully operational. This was a double tank Ansul System. We did the cleanup, tested everything, changed the caps, links, cartridge and recharged the system.
